Seemingly unworn Chester Barrie solid light blue shirt today. Interesting that i've caught a few pieces from Savile Row houses this week (at different stores in close promixity), when I normally see none.

Been striking out in ties lately, so this was a nice change of pace. One stop, 3x Brioni, 3x Zegna (one Couture) and two Versace. Can I get an authenticity check on the later @SpooPoker ? Made in Spain tag has me a little skeptical...

Here's the quick & dirty explanation. There 3 basic "models" of 1911s.

    Government- 5" barrel
    Commander- 4.25" barrel
Officer- 3.5" barrel (also uses a smaller frame vs the others).

There are obviously other niche models (double stacks of varying lengths, long slides, etc.), but those 3 are what most people reference, and typically only used to reference barrel lengths.

I've never picked one of these suits up before. Not bad for a beater suit. Hopefully I'll get a couple bucks on ebay.

Been wanting a Colt Series 70 for ages. Big 3-dot sights, extended beaver tail and thumb safety... Skeletonized hammer + trigger. Lawdy. [IMG]

Weird 1911s have always seemed to have a much more elongated barrel and slide extention to me... I thought they were for sure bigger then mine, nothin close to the quality of a 1911, Ruger .345 .45 Stainless slide, polymer grip, 6 inch w/ 10+1 capacity (CA law)
