Size tag in front pocket assuming you mean a coat, or you mean jacket and pants as in a suit? In which case jacket will have size in inner pocket (hickey freeman tag) and pants might have same tag behind one of the pockets. Wouldn't proxy that Nordies LP at $25, but would pick up for self to sell, especially if fabric is as nice as you say, will triple your money.

Hello gents, long time lurker, first poster.

I could do with your collective wisdom.

I recently picked up this Belvest cashmere double-breasted navy coat for a great price on ebay from a general consignment store. Superb condition, it needs pressing but doesn't seem worn. Labelled as a 44 but fits more like a 38. I'm usually a 42/44 and this thing is tight on me. Does anyone have experience with how Belvest fit? The coat measures 22 across the chest so it is technically 44" but surely a true 44 would measure something like 46"?

    Rest of the measurements are:

    Shoulder to shoulder - 19"
    Sleeve - 24"
    Length - 48"

Also, looking at the label, there is a ladies name listed at the bottom...does this mean it is a women's coat? Do Belvest make women's clothes?

Anyway, the thing is too small for me so I need to offload it.

    Minor rant:

Every fall I count down the minutes until coats are out at the thrifts and then a month later I feel like killing myself when I have looked through 10,000 coats and found almost nothing amazing but tons of good stuff which is basically useless.

Fyi, if anyone finds a decent Barbour waxed jacket in size 44 and wants to trade for a decent burberry trench (most don't have liners but belts are okay) or one of the old "weighs five tons" navy pea coas, PM me as I see these somewhat regularly.

I would guess that is a woman's coat and is a 34 (44 IT) which, with no suit underneath should fit like a 38R

Yeah. I got my gf to try it on and it looks ridiculous, it swamped her. I guess it could be for a larger lady. Also, the strong shoulder and general shape of the coat seems to be for a gent, but I could be wrong. I guess it probably is for a woman though. I'll probably just return it. Thanks.
