You guys are hilarious
Omw back now
Haven't posted in a while. More later today but wanted to put this one up. Found it just around the block from my house by someone who has had it since the 70s. It has some minor damage to one arm but fixable I think. Looks like it is from the 40s. It already looks gorgeous. Weights about 25 pounds and built like a tank. My two kids can both sit in it together it is so large...
Gunlocke Bank of England Chair:
Still made today: http://www.gunlocke.com/public_html/products/guest/bankOfEngland.html
These things happen but Brioni level quality and higher for that price there will always be some guys here to want proxy and you can clear a few bucks at the same time.
Do the burn test.
That fucking cracked me up.
That looks real to me by the way it's uneven and matting. Can you see any fabric backing if you look deep into the pile?
Oh, shit, also - I found a couple items today of note:
Allsaints 100% cashmere cable knit
old with tags EZ and a nice autumn RTBOC
Old with tags woolrich flannel lined FF chinos, unhemmed.
Not a thrifting day. Tailgating at UNT football game. A little warm but nice.
Ms Woofa's chicken wings.
Brionis in hand heading back to the house
Sorry to spam the thread, but vote if you're interested!
I believe that is also sometimes called 'hi pile' or 'high pile'.
The Attolini. It is gorgeous (n/a and not true thrift)
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
That is certainly shearling.
Thanks all and thanks for confirming, Spoo. That's what I figured, but the wool felt but different than the last couple shearlings I've found and I wanted to be sure.
excuse my ignorance on this pattern but the other brioni
neither fit me but i know someone here would like to move them so these are availible
