Stopped at one of my worst stores for the last stop of the day today, I almost always leave empty-handed. 10 minutes from closing. Spent 5 minutes in menswear, and gave up. (Its one of those stores that does not sort anything. It might as well all be laying on the floor. I hate those Goodwills, we have 3 that do that.)

On the way out the door I saw a small basket of sunglasses. Nothing
Next to that was a smaller basket of watches.

    Hmmm.....what's that?

Longines Automatic Admiral Five Star 508
It's pretty beat up. Missing Glass, missing hands.
Gave it a swirl and it ticked beautifully.

Was a big gamble, but for $0.25, I was willing to take a chance.

That's awesome. I was just looking at one of those too. Who are you using for the restoration if you don't mind me asking? Forgot to add, IWW does good work unless you have a good local guy.

Gustin selvedge jeans, slim fit, 31". First selvedge find. :) And they feel like they've never been worn. Stiff, 'raw', very dark blue.

    It's my Wil Wheaton imitation:

I swore I would not bring home bulky things from the thrift today. But, I did. A fur-trimmed Alyeska arctic wear coat. Pretty sure it's just coyote tail fur. If it were wolverine...now that'd be a pretty penny.

Posted this in the thrift buy/sell/trade but will post here as well - I'm in need of a plain navy suit (my Suitsupply bit the dust tonight). Looking for something fully canvassed, FF trous, slim 40R. If anyone has anything, I've got lots to trade and cash as well.
