I haven't seen many posts from @tweedydon lately. Perhaps he has been too busy moving to Kansas!

I saw this out while getting some lunch.

Wondering if it's even worth trying to go out today, seeing as Spoo and VA already cleaned things out from the sounds of it.

Trust me my friend, I never ever share it on here, but I buy retail and it ain't from SM place. I just avoid speaking about it because others may not be as fortunate or whatever and also people hate retail here. All my Aldens? Boglioli dover and k jackets? Retail. 3 pairs of Iron Hearts, 1 pair of flat heads and collectively 3 pairs of DH 19cm mij raws? Retail. Rag and Bone hand made tailor line denim blazer, retail. 15 oxfords either gitman or BoO, yep. Calfskin Maiden Noir Bomber-Union LA. My first time in a thrift store was one year ago. You don't need to talk down to me like I don't get to buy retail, I've been holding down Barneys 4th floor since High School. I just refuse to ever drop the price I paid for anything because I just don't find it to be of poor taste that is all.

if its in poor taste to disclose the price you paid, isn't it in poor taste to name all these very expensive items you buy at retail.

I'll admit it. I can't afford that shit. I have a house payment and a law practice to fund, and 5 kids, and a wife. I don't even know what half the shit is that you listed, but the way you described it, I can tell you want us all to know its really damn expensive.

AND yea. We hate retail. That's why its the called the Thrift Store bragging thread!

The "I'm not name dropping, but I really am so that I can pat myself on the back, cause someone may not think I'm as awesome as I think I am" is in such poor taste.

This is such a cool forum, filled with decent kind people who will bend over to help a noon out with knowledge if needed, that I'm surprised to find one of "those guys" here.

PS. Dude, get a hug. Make like those japanese chick's that hire men to come to their offices and dry their tears already.

Many would argue the box is a resource, so looking through it is showing your resourcefulness, no?

He's also one of these people, because he's helped lots out anytime they've asked. I think you're being too hard on his response, tbh.
