PSA - In the past I have been leery about getting ties dry cleaned because of the pressing lines. It may have been back in the old thread but someone mentioned Just ask for no press. Well I had two that either had spots and were looking long for wear. Got them back last night and they looked quite refreshed. Just added three more to my DC bag.

Is this fake? I didn't think it was because it seems like quality and maybe an odd piece to fake, but I don't know much about CdG Play...can't find anything about the black tag either

GW is so odd, they have individual price tags on Stafford suits but the Oxxford Suit is tagged like everything else. It must be because of newness, the Staffords where very clean and new looking and the Oxxford a bit worn.

I think I'm getting too picky I left a BB sportcoat in my size because it wasn't half off and I already have two that are a similar color and pattern.

I may be done with e-thrifts I just got a BB sportcoat as the pictures showed a nice green with brown/rust windowpane and even in direct sun it's more charcoal/green which is similar to what I already have.

All true thrift and N/A since they're mostly boxed up for consignment.

The goth-ninja vibes are strong with this one. Nid de Guepes / NDG Studio

Since we're all about the tags on English-made ties lately. Here's one from an Eton I picked up the other day.

And finally...this happened. Pop on mainline Kiton tailoring.

Greetings from my “new beat” in DC. Quite an adjustment for this country boy. Gak, humidity.

First, a HUGE shout out to the uber-cool @capnwes for handling all my existing eBay packages and taking all my new finds on consignment. Not that there have been any new finds yet, as I got thrown right into 16-hour days. Hopefully, I’ll get some thrift decompression soon.

Meanwhile, a storm came through a day or two ago, and I got to wear that true thrift RLPL lambskin bomber I posted a couple weeks ago. So here’s the thrift fit (in my friend’s frou-frou bedroom).

Shirt: Cuci
Pants: Cuci
Belt: ‘Gamo
Shoes: ‘Gamo

Retail of thrift fit: $8200
Actual cost: $137

I know, it’s a beast! You know you’ve really kopped a grail when the only time you have worn it is to walk five minutes to the 7-Eleven and back for a coffee, and FOUR people have complimented you on it. I love/hate that it fits so perfectly. LOL.
