Is the signature the same in both? His handwriting is awful.

Obviously "L. De ******, fatto a Mano, ** spedizione".

I'd bet my bottom dollar the L stands for Lorenzo as not too many popular male names start with an "L" in Italy and a great number of people who work with leather and shoes come from Florence where that is a very popular name after Lorenzo il Magnifico.

It's definitely handwritten. I found another pair from the same maker at the store
