Speaking of Buffalo Exchange, I picked up an awesome light as a feather Engineered Garments button down there today. Also came across somewhat of a head scratcher...

Raf Simons pocket sneakers. These didn't have the strap, the tops had indigo rub-off, one of the zippers was broken, and one had a Pierre Hardy insole [IMG]. If anyone thinks they're worth saving I'd be happy to proxy. Size 10.

Even I know Tom Ford. Though I have apparently been routinely passing on Gitman and Gant for some time now.

As much as yet another SF thread to follow will kill what little sleep I've actually been getting, I'm really hoping this thread will *finally* teach me what denim to look for. I'd like to hit those racks in 15 seconds or less, so I'd love to see labels. Plus, the "good" jeans I found at TJ Maxx a few years back have finally shat the bed. Everything I find is super low rise and does very little for my apple-on-a-stick build.

Does VV chinos count as SW&D? Cross post to MC: Picked up Nantucket Red, lime green and blue VV chinos the other day. Consignment prices at a thrift, but NO REGRETS!

Guys, watch out for 12 hour auctions on eBay. While I won't find this stuff in thrifts, people silly enough to post things for such a short period of time will net you some serious snags. I was also bidding on a pair of KKA jeans he was selling, though I missed out on those for an incredible price of $14.50 (retail is somewhere north of $600).

^ Pro tip. Can you sort by auction length?

No idea if you can sort by auction duration, but I generally sort my results by ending soonest. I believe you can see when they were posted by clicking on any individual auction, but you can get your hopes of winning up when there are fewer eyeballs on the auction and especially when it ends in the morning.

Everyone seems to be picking up sweet things at Buffalo Exchange. The one time I went there, all I saw were $15 western shirts and novelty Ts. Maybe I should give it another shot.

Definitely give it another shot, but go often, they seem to move their good stuff pretty quickly. I've picked up shirts from Prada, Acne, Engineered Garments, Obedient Sons; Pants from RRL, Blue Label Polo, Steven Alan. I've seen Dior Homme, Givenchy, Rag & Bone, Philip Lim, SUGAR CANE and Raf Simons to name a few. I've made friends with a buyer there, every time I come in she tells me if she's made a good men's buy recently and points me toward it. Much better odds than a thrift IMO

this is probably a dumb question, but what is Gant Hugger*? i saw a shirt yesterday with that label. it was a reddish plaid. it didn't say "The Hugger" it just said "Gant Hugger".

    *Hugger, not Rugger.

I believe it's just the name for their slim fit.
