Do the pockets of the Stoffa camp collar shirts like the one on the picture have hidden buttons? Or are they just heavy enough to hang well without buttons?
No buttons, the shirts I have are heavy enough to hang but linen blends can cause them to bend a tad. Nothing to crazy

Which cashmere piece? I have the shirt and it’s very thin cashmere. I haven’t had any issues with it but it does feel delicate, that said I’ve worn it quite a but travelling with no issues. Picking up another color as well.

I think the sweaters and the ribbed polos are a much thicker fabric.

I don’t own any yet, but the thick ones feels extremely substantial, I think they will hold up very well.
The thin ones will no doubt be more delicate but I trust stoffa and their field testing.

The knit shirt or Tshirt?

I’m looking at the knit shirt and I’ll probably add a U Neck vest as well.

Definitely chocolate. To me the taupe one runs the risk of looking a bit like cheap leather (which of course it isn't).

As far as I can see in the fabric selection though, chocolate is not one of the options at the moment.

I think its actually pretty difficult to get a good gauge on the Taupe color from the stoffa images, if you have the ability to go in person I'd look at it in natural light, in some of the images its very interesting and in others it can come off as a little puke-ish

The chocolate will always be safer, but if youre going to an asymetric leather jacket, why not live a little?

Definitely taupe. Less expected and more interesting color than chocolate.

Possibly cheap looking leather but more interesting color are both thoughts I had as well.

Hadn’t considered the color being puke-ish but fair point. I definitely do agree that Chocolate is safe.

I thought I might take a look at trousers next week while in NYC. Recommendations on summer fabrics or light weight fabrics? I like the eco friendly approach the company is taking. Also, trousers look affordable whereas everything else feels a bit beyond my reach price wise (e.g. jackets, knits).

This "upcycle" one, from a source in Guatemala, looks interesting though I would prefer the basketweave rather than twill.

Anyone done MTM and can see other fabrics that are interesting (I can't see fabrics through their website yet)? Suggestions, descriptions, photos, fabric # appreciated.

Very happy with my Rota MTM through NMWA but I think it would be nice to branch out as well especially given the sources of the fabrics.

Also, those of you who also do Rota RTW or MTM, how would you compare cuts/patterns/fit? Some of the Mr. Porter versions of Stoffa trousers look voluminous, a bit too much for me at least as a go to pattern. For example, I found the Brooklyn Rota's a bit on the voluminous side and had Greg trim the leg of the Manhattan cut 1cm in an MTM, just as a reference if that helps.

They have a cloud basketweave at the moment which is very similar in color to the washed indigo one you linked. It's pretty heavy and not really a summer fabric though, more for fall, winter and spring.

For something lighter, I can definitely recommend their 3-ply wool, both in mid grey and charcoal. I have both and use them a lot. They flow nicely and keep a crease well. You can find pictures of various garments made up in those fabrics to get an idea.
