Nothing yet. Still the weekend though.

I note that they will be using Saman Amel’s space. Interesting, since they are competitors. Both must be hit hard by the pandemic. I confess I mostly wear old chinos and jeans at home. With a t-shirt. Maybe I’ll wear a shirt if I’m speaking to someone very important and conservative. But it’s very rare.

I attached an image of what I mean by a looser cut. This looks much better to me than the tapered models I’ve seen before.

I noticed that too. I do know Saman is moving to a new, bigger space, but don’t think they’re ready yet. At least I haven’t been alerted of a new address for an upcoming fitting this week.
But I know Saman hosted Stòffa in the beginning of their trunk shows, pretty sure they’re friends with Agyesh. Small brands that support each other ?

I’ll miss the sort of basement. Makes sense though, since things seem to be going well.

What are you fitting?

Yeah me too, but the new space sounds nice.

This week is just adjustments on a pair of covert trousers made last year, but I actually have a pair of mid grey fresco trousers coming during the trunk too, although I doubt they can make parallel fittings in that space.
I was gonna try Stòffas high twist ironically, but I’ve gained some weight and didn’t want to experiment with my pattern remotely.

That wider model looks fine, but I dislike the lack of break at the hem. I like a pretty full break with a nice hem opening. I never want to show or see socks when walking.

I agree it could be a tad longer to avoid the high water look, but a break full enough to never show sock even when walking sounds like 90s Michael Jordan in the worse possible way.

That's a bit strong. There are many brands which do this look quite well (auralee springs to mind). Actually thinking of trying out the baggy pant look myself this fall (but I was deeply into hiphop when I was young, so this comes naturally to me).

Yeah true, I guess my minds eye took it to the worse possible iteration.
If you mean something like this I'm all for it.

Yeah usually deliver at next trunk, especially for new customers. Returning ones with a well set pattern could have them delivered but as they visited every 5-6 weeks in the past, there was never a need.
I’ve had stuff delivered at home and at their (previous?) local agent too. But I prefer seeing the guys, it’s always nice.
Indeed, always nice to meet the team - I have my pattern for Trousers but never made any shorts and have been craving a pair every summer but they have not been in Stockholm for years and you cant make a pair without a pattern remote unfortunately. So i have booked my appointment, lets see what else i might get. In these times i have found jersey shirts to be a perfect companion so might try them on and get a pair of trousers.

I'm hoping they will get back into at least quarterly trunks, but I suspect something like twice per year or something. We were very spoiled with their old schedule.

Happy to see the the winter white basket weave - arguably their best fabric/color combo - is included in the washables. Even though side adjusters are possible for current mtm customers, I think I’ll give the new self belt a try. I’ve been meaning to get some belt loops anyway. The box pleat looks very promising when worn compared to flat garment pics, I’m excited to see this one live!
