Confession: I'm addicted to starch. No, not linguine. Rice-based Belgian laundry starch from Allo Laverie (unforunately it's currently out of stock), which is a few orders of magnitude better than the splatter-spray hit-and-miss of aerosol Niagara Laundry Starch.

On Sunday, I spent 3 hours soak-starching, drying (until damp) and ironing 27 shirts. Yes, I need to get a life, folks. Tell us you choice of starch. Light or heavy? Brand? Do-it-yourself or send-out?

I used to starch all my shirts. Haven't done so in awhile, but I'm thinking of going back, at least collar and cuffs on more formal (e.g. white) shirts. There's something very refreshing about breaking into a crisply starched shirt.
