This thread mainly exists for me to talk about how boring my life* is and @Bhowie to lie brag about how many chicks he's infecting with the COVID-19.

My goals for the next 12-18 months:
  • Perfect my chili recipe (wife's not gonna like this)
  • Make a lot of pizza
  • Empty my Netflix queue (gotta aim high!)
  • Finish the shirt I started sewing a year ago
  • Sleep in every day
  • Shower at least twice a week
Not to get all @Piobaire with thread rules, but let's keep the serious stuff, and the sad and depressing stuff to the CE thread (exception: my day-to-day life).

* This is nothing new.

I'm now watching 10 Things I Hate About You because it starts with 10 and it's in my Disney+ queue.

Day whatever. I’m doing my weight training in the living room while everyone else sleeps. Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is playing on BluRay.

oh, and drinking a Sippin’ Pretty Fruited Sour from Odell Brewing Co. Try that at a gym...

This is bullshit, and I almost fell victim to the same thing. Teens are messing with the Netflix numbers. They’re all home on corona-cation, being silent carriers and making it so that not one show pops up in any category that doesn’t orbit around narcissistic high schoolers. What we need in these troubled times is a list. Like a hard copy, no bullshit master list of everything that is on the streaming services right now, something we could just like look at and say, Yes, yes — that is a movie that is available, and one I would like to see...

As far as 10 Things goes, though, yeah, I’ve always been team Bianca.

I power washed my patio furniture today (to get rid of moss/mildew). It is March in the PNW. I will need to do this again before patio season.

One more before bed. It’s day twelve of spring break over here, and I haven’t read one line of text that wasn’t lit up on my phone. I’ve got books from Amazon, books still in quarantine. But I’ve been been thinking of this:

Are these the end times? Have we reached our own personal end zone? What steers our thinking when there is no action to take? Do we run from frivolousness or do we embrace it?

Good or bad, this is still one of my favorite quotes:

In time I let my head ease back on the top step and I closed my eyes. I was moving into the biblical phase of the afternoon, the peak of my new simplicity. A verity less than eternal had little appeal. I prepared myself to think of night, desert, sorrowful forests, of the moon, the stars, the west wind, baptismal mist and the rich myrrh of harvested earth. Instead I thought of ****.

Looks like @edinatlanta has competition on who can create the most threads that fail.
Hey, my cop thread is still going strong (not that I ever intended that to be a megathread).

I woke up at 10 today. That barely counts as sleeping in.

It's now officially been a week since I last had to go to work, and it feels like a month. Glad I don't have kids. Can't imagine what that's like right now.

A childless coworker and I were talking about it yesterday because we've been on calls with our teammates who have young kids, and it seems brutal. I doubt they're getting much actual work done. I'm way more productive because useless meetings/emails have dried up, and I'm not in the office where I can be distracted by coworkers.
