We had our summer today, here in Wales, so I ventured outside with my Boot Black cream. It goes on very evenly and smoothly. It is not as pigmented as Saphir cream. I was very impressed by the deep, lustrous finish.

Summer is over now. If I could use a turpentine based cream, on a regular basis, I think that this is the one I would choose. Meanwhile, back to the non-turpentine, Woly cream, which doesn't compare well with the Boot Black, although it is OK.

Hello Ozzy. Yes, I bought from A Fine Pair of Shoes. The colour is Dark Brown. Looking at the cream, it does look a very dark brown. However, it doesn't come out as so dark when its applied to shoes.

Eeenteresting. I have a pair of 20 odd year old Chelsea boots that rolled like that instead of creasing. Was starting to wonder if they were shell. (Never wear them and stuck away in a cupboard)
    I guess I'm still a total naif!

Sorry to be repetitive then. I just immediately thought of the way people bash AE Park Avenues for their short caps (which don't bother me at all).

    Hi

I've searched this thread but haven't had any luck finding an answer, so I'll just post:

What do y'all recommend for a new pair of shoes? Calfskin double monks...
