Disposables are particulate ( dust) masks .You are dealing with fumes this requires a respitator. Respirators are required by law ( in Ca. ) to be smoke fitted by a certified tech. You also need to assure the proper canister is attached for the gas you are working with . This is the simple version

Here are the three, non turpentine, items that I have decided to use - thanks to many people on here. I would welcome other suggestions. I am also continuing to explore Glenjay's products. Otherwise:

    1) Saphir Renovator
    2) Saphir Nappa
    3) Collonil 1909 Wax polish.

    Thank you.

hahaha !!! btw what kind of polish did you use before switching to Saphir?

Today i was downtown Athens where the ''old school" market is!! i found some waxed dark brown flat laces (2x2meters for 1 euro each) and finally after a lot search i found some toe metal taps(they called them horsheshoes [IMG]) for 2 euros per pear so i took 2 pears!!
Do you use toe guards on your shoes Gent's?

i used the one pear and install it in my new shoes(they are worn about 3-4 times then soles are conditioned and taps installed!! i put some wax too in the holes to make them more water proof)

When I got started in Saphir products, based on an Esquire Magazine article and Television News programs - never once did I worry about the chemicals required to get me where I wanted - as long as I was prudent.

And yes, there have been jibes about potentially sniffing to get an extra boost (which is nuts) - but when I was a child my parents gave me plastic toy ships and airplanes to assemble for my collection - which included the use of Revell Cement Glue. Most of the kids just never thought about the small fumes, and many of us never smoked and never did drugs. Others inhaled just about anything to get high.

So if you want to go the way of very little or no chemicals, that's your choice. As for me, I am healthy as a guy can be at my age.

    Best regards,

Did you miss the part where he said the stuff containing turpentine makes him ill, or just deliberately ignore it?
