Why prefer that ebay vendor over Valmour?
I don't see the deal.
You don't buff with a cloth?
Thanks - those prices are higher than the seller though, and I don't speak French - is there shipping to the USA?
shipping with valmour is way too expensive unless you're buying 20 pots or something.
I see only now that for USA there isn't free shipping over a certain amount.
For Europe Valmour offers free shipping over 75 €.
Offers also degressive price for several items and have the entire range of products available.
I have ordered many times and I can only recommend it.
Nope, just quickly with a horsehair brush.
Click on the British flag on the top right. Voila! (that's French for "There you go" ) Instant English.
Reading Patrick Booth's post got me thinking. It's clear that Lear has motivated many of us to up the ante on their polishing techniques.
I wonder if Lear's father uttered to himself when he was just a lad, "My son could be Prime Minister one day...or...one day my son may achieve a true mirror shine on a pair of whole cut Australian dress boots thereby inspiring hundreds...nay, thousands of Style Forum shoe enthusiasts from Birmingham to Boston (or London to Los Angeles) to do the same...
And this is how far I've come...
keep posting pics patrick, and You'll be getting a whole bunch of my shoes in the mail.
I havn't seen it mentioned in this thread but OnTheFly is a good source of Saphir with free shipping.
I also have a question:
If I don't need to fix any scuff marks on the shoe, is using both a "cleaner/conditioner" like Saphir Renovateur or Crema Nubiana AND a Saphir cream redundant? If so, does that mean that creams should be reserved for fixing scuffs and restoring color, while cleaner/conditioners should be used as part of the normal maintenance regimen?
have to agree with that, I ordered my Saphir stuff from On the Fly as well. Great transaction.
God damn, son. Thats without a buffing? Just horsehair?
no spoo - that's Patrick Booth who polishes with just a horse hair.
This is Patrick_b.
I mentioned it was a long day, correct?
