Attention desert wanderers, long-haired hippies, pastoral romantics, new brohemians, riviera flâneurs and anyone else who just likes to feel the air between their toes: this is the official sw&d sandal thread. Discuss and post pictures of good looking sandals here. Shopping options, how to wear them, sizing, etc. Baller level not required, just sandals with style. All variants of the sandal welcome: fisherman, paduka, Roman, clog, espadrille, etc.

I realize sandals might not be everyone's thing, but dammit I like them. Naysayers can continue to wear their sweaty designer sneakers and heavy boots in August. Being from a beach town, I have a bias towards zori and huarache designs, basically surfer styles. But, I've come to appreciate other styles as well, especially those that can pair with more than just pure casual clothes or work in a more urban environment. There are a lot of cool designer versions and a lot of fugly ones. Anyway here are a few pics to start things off (or maybe end it altogether depending on your point of view.)

These aren't bad, available at mnzstore(If I was a women I would shop here exclusively).

Miharayashuhiro,

And huaraches, how those guys run miles in these is beyond me.

And something I picked up in Mexico, kills my back on long strolls.
