Anyone interested in actually starting it? If not, I'm all set to go ahead and do so. What should we title it?

I think the similar Epaulet thread is a good title and keeps some consistency:

THE OFFICIAL RRL B-S-T THREAD

Sounds good to me. I’ve got some stuff to post! I’ll add it now.

It's a ground swell. (Or a stampede of clothes horses.) ;)

Does someone want to start a separate conversation with all those who are interested?

Question for all of the RRL Denim guys. I have never purchased a pair of RRL denim before this season, but have had my eye on a pair that I picked up when they went on sale. Got the jeans a few days ago and noticed immediately that the outseam on the left leg twisted around to the front, maybe 2-3" by the time it reached the cuff...same thing for the inseam to the back of the jeans. Figured maybe it was just how they were folded, but after trying them on, the left leg definitely twists around. It not only looks weird when wearing with boots/shoes but feels awkward.

I sent a picture to my SA and she agreed that it seemed like a flaw and set aside another pair to send me. She took pictures of that pair and I pointed out that they have the exact same issue on the left leg.

Is this a "design feature" for RRL denim? Has anyone else noticed this? I have a hard time paying that much for a pair of jeans, even on sale, if they have this "flaw."

Thanks for the help!

Guess it depends, some people love the leg twist that happens the first time you wash a pair of unsanforized jeans. I don't know if this was their intention as my pairs of RRL denim have never had that but either way I don't think it would bother me. Personal preference I guess but I wouldn't say it was a flaw unless the fabric was just cut entirely wrong

You are describing leg twist which is common on Selvedge denim, especially on the left leg in my experience. It’s a coveted phenomenon (by many) and its these imperfections that appeal to denim enthusiasts. If you don’t like it, no big deal. Just look for a different mfr/model.
