damnit. The customer service rep said the Large was 49” and xl was 54” which seemed huge.
I ordered a large but will need it a little bigger. Wtf.
I wouldn't panic until you receive it -- there's manufacturing variation among items in the same size. I usually recommend that if sizing on something is a little too big or small to exchange it for the same size. Or order two of the same size to begin with and keep the one that fits better. For example, I ordered two mediums of the Indigo Jacquard Camp Shirt and one was a full inch wider in the chest and an inch longer in the sleeves.

Was gonna take a flyer on those 13.5 oz limited jeans at sale price, but sizes finally sold out. Oh well. ETA always a sucker for pony hair patches.

How often do the black on black jeans go on sale?
It is pretty rare that core items like the black on black go on sale. Those can be bundled in some of the spending sales that happen (ie, spend 1k and get 500 off, etc) I purchased a pair recently from Blue Owl on sale at 30% off, but unfortunately the waist (32) is simply too large for me after slimming up during Covid. I’m waiting for another opportunity to pick up a pair that fits.

Would you say the Blue Owl measurements for the black on black are pretty accurate?
I tried them on in person at RRL and the measurements were waaayy different than blue owl’s for the black on black.

Blue Owl measurements are definitely more accurate. I need a 30w rather than a 32w. Will probably throw up in BST the nwot 32 I have. I’m glad you posted this question since I checked Blue Owl and the black on black are currently on sale.
