that's some next level mix up...

For sure! The price tag is pretty well-worn so I suspect that pair has made a few trips back and forth from the warehouse. Also they are vanity sized even by RRL standards, nearly 4” bigger than the tagged size ?

ah, I guess there is a benefit to work with SA in this case..., can you locate something that actually look like this, and how does it fit!

Are the pants you received actual RRL with their correct tags?

Last summer I ordered a pair of RRL denim direct from RL they sent me a pair of disgusting, smelly, ratty old jeans that somebody had swapped the tags for and returned to RL. I don't know how whoever processed nor the person who processed my purchase didn't notice - I mean the pants literally stunk like petroleum and the crotch was threadbare! Oh well, RL made me whole again.

It's not like it has stopped me from buying more RRL, I just thought it was a funny story and I was reminded of by you getting the wrong pants.

Thoughts on these? Do RRL boots hold up okay?

??? I think I remember your original post about that incident, it definitely takes the cake!

Yes these were real RRL— they had the ubiquitous “Sgt Robt V Pima” military style tag and the writing inside the waist with the measurements etc looked right, by all appearances it was just the wrong item.

In other news I also got that W&B shirt that was recently discussed, it’s definitely a great shirt! Not too sure about the color but for $16.50 I’ll find a way to wear it

I think the W&B would look better after a few more wash so the color gets more mooted and it's not as "sharp/shiny"

One time I ordered a pair of herringbone officer chinos and I received a pair like 6" smaller than what I ordered. So I reordered and sent the wrong size ones back. I received another part also in the wrong size. I looked closer at the sticker on the plastic bag and although the small pants had the correct tags sewn in, the sticker was for the size I ordered. I just sent them back and didn't try to order them again.

Those look like they are likely made by Rios of Mercedes. I have several pair of their boots, and they are very well made. I think of them as the Alden of western boots. They should last you as long as you want to wear them.
