Unfortunately I joined RRL party a bit too late, if only I could have in 2014 and 2015 I would have bought almost everything....!

I caught the RRL bug in the summer of 2012 and ran wild for a while. I have expanded out to some other great brands since (Iron Heart, Carhartt WIP, Pendleton and most recently Filson), but always keep an eye on RRL, especially on eBay for good stuff from past collections. Some of my favorites have come from finds on the Bay. I have been wearing RL since middle school and am in my mid-40s now. I still have a shirt I bought in Vail in 1992 at 16...still hanging in there. RL makes some long lasting, classic men's clothing. I am a lifelong fan/customer.

Back in the early 1990s, Nordstrom in downtown Seattle devoted an entire room to Polo Ralph Lauren. The room was on the second floor, and you had to take this odd staircase from one corner of Men's Suits. This is when Nordstrom was still in its old building, before it moved to the Frederick & Nelson building. Anyhow, one corner of that Polo room was reserved for the original iteration of RRL. I couldn't afford that stuff back then. That old Nordstrom building was cool. Writing this also reminds me of the old, rambling REI building on Capitol Hill, store #1. Now, that place was really cool.

Whoa, I have memories of the old Nordstrom building. I remember it was kind of hard to find the men's department although I didn't really care since I was but a punk kid. I do have super vague memories of the Ralph Lauren room. I also remember my mom dragging me to Nordstrom Best shoe store in Aurora Village in the fall to buy school shoes.

Random thought, has RRL ever made sterling silver button covers? It's super southwestern NA aesthetic.
