Sooo excited about this. Actually, excited is an understatement. Lucky enough to grab this as a gift for my wife. IMO, it's the best looking limited edition, hand-stitched patchwork cardigan, the best looking blanket sweater, the best looking shawl collar cardigan, and the best looking sweater jacket all rolled into one. Considering the patchwork, blanket, and shawl collar are some of the awesome things RRL excel in, it's ?.

This is the one: Patchwork Shawl Cardigan. Copied the official image below for posterity.

Not sure the exact season, but it's not too long ago. It's been sold out for months, and this past weekend one last item showed up. I tried to checked it out, but like many older items, the website rejected it. I called a SA and she was able to secure it. Had to wait a few days thinking it will be cancelled. It came in today.

Haha yea I don't think this is going to be my last RRL "suit". I have this itch for the RRL peak lapels now. There's definitely some workwear vibes. I mean, a suit was working man's uniform back in the day so it all makes sense to me. Love the throat latch button

to be fair, some of the patches do have sashiko stitching or what is meant to look like it at least. I do love the shirt and I think a white t shirt/turtleneck underneath with some black or brown denim would look great!
Kapital is on a level of its own for sure, but I think the price point for any of their boro pieces is at least 1K here in the states. This could be an entry level shirt before going all in on a Kapital piece! I remember going to the Kapital store in Japan and the boro denim jacket retailed for around 2K usd. :(
I do like this version better than the first one that I had posted.

I want to try the peak lapel, the gorge looks quite high not sure if it will work out but i always like the "vibe" RRL tailoring gives out

I have that too...love the looks - but it's quite the workout to wear, by the end of the day, I'm like "is it worth it?"

Nice ? let’s see some pics. It’s worth it, mine has broken in loads but still a way to go .

Does anyone have any sizing advice on the cotton silk shawl? Any leads as well to where I can find one would be much appreciated

my dad actually purchased this and is usually a size small but purchased a size medium and is very slim and fits like a small. For a more comfortable fit, sizing up may be the way to go! He purchased on Ralph site, but call the new York stores! They may have one.

Thanks! Really don’t know how RRL shopping goes (not knowledgeable of the brand unfortunately, but did see this and was interested).

with that being said, does sizing (specifically shawls and button ups) require sizing up?
