1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So who did you have to blow to get into the recent SH sale? What's up with the exclusivity this time around?

I picked up that red vest from the Honolulu store at end of season sale after Labor Day a couple years ago.
It was something like 60% off plus another kicker discount. I remember they had piles of them left.

It's cool but the fishing vest vibe is strong.

It was different from the overstock sale they do twice a year. This was the annual sample sale for employees and friends and family who had passes from employees. The overstock sale is coming up in Dec I believe

Hey guys. Just got my first pair of slims.
Love the wash and fit on these. However, the seem seems to be very far in when I lay these flat. Worse on the right side (left side in the photo)
Is this normal? I'm probably just being paranoid but I wanted to double check

It's skewing that occurs after washing the denim. Modern jeans usually compensate for this by changing the angle of the weave during manufacture to keep the seam straight while vintage styles usually keep the "defect".

It's called a ''twisted inseam.'' Usually it happens after you wash unsanforized denim.

In this case, I think it's crease from not being folded properly they were packed and shipped.

I've been looking around for similar Canyon boots like the ones from RRL that Hoit has, but don't want to pay $850 for them.. or even $599. So I bought these Timberlands for $120. Very similar look and very comfortable/good quality leather.

Now that I look at it I think it's mostly how they were folded...and it must have been for a long time.
If I straighten that leg out there is almost a worn-in line from top to bottom in the front and back from where it was folded odd.
Not sure if that's something I can get out.

I actually think those look pretty good. And judging by the picture, the leather and sole look good. I say rock those bad boys with some jeans and a nice flannel.

I didn't feel like shopping around and waiting for a shipment to come in so I bought in store to get something new for this season that looked rugged but was lightweight and comfortable, most of my other boots are too heavy/not breathable/clunky to wear year round in Miami.

The pictures don't do them justice they are a very cherry red color in real life and very thick, yet very soft leather and contrast triple stitching all around. I was surprised Timberlands offered something decent because most of their stuff sucks. The Earthkeepers collection isn't half bad.

These are basically a test run for me. If I like the style and don't get bored of them, I'll buy these in a few months.

Is it common on one leg only?
I've seen other pairs like this.
And is it OK to straighten out that leg? (if I line up the seems they do line up correctly like the other leg. So I'd like to make them the same if possible).

New to this type of thing with jeans...thanks. sorry for all the questions!
