Can anyone comment on the latest RRL Peacoat? it seems these are a standard piece and while they may change a bit is the rrl one worth the price jump from say a regular polo one?

also am eyeing the warner Twill and wonder if anyone has it or has tried it on and has any comment? Just an overcoat/rain coat? nice lines? more versatile than just an over coat? The damn thing keeps calling to me.

I picked up the sanders twill and couldnt love it more.

I just saw that in store the other day. It looks decent in person. I personally like some of the D&S stuff but they definitely go completely overboard with the distressing on a lot of it. Every now and then they slip some nice stuff in though. It also always goes on sale for at least 40% off. I have never bought anything from D&S at full price.

They look great. But don't you find them to warm? I mean walking outside is okay, but I've made the experience when I wear tweed/wool pants in autumn/winter once I get inside where it's heated they become too warm. Or are these of lighter fabric?

They are warm as tweed goes but i wore them to work, inside most of the day, and it was in the 50's outside. Never occurred to me that they felt too warm. I think the weave might be coarse enough that it breathes a bitm and its not a slim fit. I was more warm because of the hamilton vest and jacket so the jacket came off a few times.

Thanks man. That's a shame cos I definitely like the look of the Hamilton more, just don't really have use for a sport coat.
If the Campbell ever makes it to a sale (isn't there usually one before thanksgiving?) I'll give it a shot.

yes hamilton is a sport coat and campbell is a coat. Good luck. Im an xl or xxl and for a while they werent offering xxl. But they are offering a few now. I had the campbell in an xxl, a rare find for me but had to return it, was swimming in it. And the earlier xl's were very fitted on me, now they are about right. Seems the cut is more generous. Best of luck

^ That's some great detailing on those with the stitching and the coin pocket. Are those little leather triangle patches?

Yeah it has little leather reinforcements, a thick crotch reinforcement patch, canvas lined pockets. The works. Best overalls construction and denim I've felt in ages!

Yeah, would love some more information or a full length unfolded pic. They sort of look like a variant on the dove frontier ones that are on the website at the moment. Have these ones just hit the shops or was it something you found on ebay? I've personally been looking for a pair of raw bucklebacks after seeing a totally amazing pair in the London shop a month or two back. The coin pocket was actually similar to these ones if I remember correctly. I'm a big lad but the only sizes they had left were 38 and 40 and for a moment I considering buying them and tailoring them down. Thankfully came to my senses as that would have been a terrible idea. Ended up buying a pair of raw ONI's in a tapered cut to satisfy the raw urge but would still like a really good pair of bucklebacks in a nice thick fabric as the ones I have are quite lightweight with triple stitching down the seem rather than selvedge.

I've got something similar if not identical to the Warner from a few seasons ago.
It's basically just a raincoat/overcoat. You really need to try it on as it fits rather gigantic since I assume it was cut to go over a suit/jacket.
It's an okay piece but I wouldn't get it unless it was on deep discount. I got mine off B&S here.

..and it still looks like its just hanging in your closet.

Come on guys, somewhere like Lookbook may be lame but at least they know how to take proper pictures of clothing doing what it was meant to do: be worn. Not folded up or on a hanger

On a Japanese reseller site the fabric of these pants is called Candlestick fabric.
It looks similar to the fabric of the Boss buckle back pants from last season, which seems to come from Oni. At least very similar to it.
