I started shopping on polo.com virtually from Day One in 1999 or 2000, and have made hundreds of purchases and spent probably tens of thousands of dollars at the site over the last 12 years. Yet RL.com customer service told me they can only give 15% discount codes to "a small number of customers who have been extremely active shoppers in the past year."
I say that is complete rubbish and a crappy way to retain loyalty and reward long-time customers. I am pretty unhappy about this.

heh ive bought tons of RL but i never got a code either. you just need to have an SA. they apply it for you in store no matter what anyways. but i agree, sort of annoying.

Yeah, I spend probably $7K+ per year, and I didn't get a code either. It's just hit or miss what I get in the mail. Just ask a SA for the code.

As always, the best way to get on RL lists is to shop in store and to give your mailing info to an SA. Visit the store a few times a year, make sure each purchase is marked, and you are all set for the basic sales. I've been shopping RL stores since I was 16 or so, I've always received the cards in the mail. You don't need to spend a whole lot either. Occasionally I'll get purple label stuff.

It wasn't obvious to me from online pics, so I'll let you know that they do sit a bit high on the waist, at least compared to my other jeans and chinos. I have decided to like the fit, since it seems comfortable for longer periods sitting down. Just my two cents on that.

well noted. very pleased with mine, but if the rise was an half an inch lower i'd love it. (blah blah blah historically accurate)

Thanks - not a big deal I was just taking a break fom some work and tried to hop on

Pre-Sale is live. A common question I've read is about the cordovan. Marlow penny, tassels, and wings are 30% plus kicker. Both Lindricks are 30% plus kicker too.

This sale is pretty dry. The only things worth getting are the boots and the fair isle cardigan. I'll wait for the third fall collection to go on sale.

Update:

They made a last minute change and now the cordovan shoes/boots are included. I believe I replied to everyone who originally sent me a request for those. If I missed you, please email me again. I will be placing a lot of online orders for fellow sf members today.

Thanks again,

Robert
