Thanks for the help. I bought low straight 33s in one wash after trying them on in the store. The 34s were definitely a better fit but I was told they stretch out about a size. They are pretty damn snug after only wearing them for a few hours. For the record I wear 34 in regular levi's.

Right now I have a bit of buyers remorse regarding size (wishing I got 34). How long can I expect these jeans to take to loosen up?

They'll stretch out a good two inches or more in the waist.

A lot. My 31s stretched from 16.5 to nearly 18 within a couple of weeks. I'm giving up on them. I need the waist of a 30 and the thighs/crotch of a 31.

They don't stretch THAT much. Maybe a half a size, a full size is really pushing it.

RRL isn't meant to fit suck tight. Personally I buy whatever fits me in the store and looks good. If it stretches a bit nobody notices but me, and I don't look like a fool wearing ass-tight muffin top jeans :D

16.5 to 18 is 3 inches of stretch, seems like a lot to me (though no different from other denim brands). If 16.5 fit perfectly, 18 would be falling off.

the thigh should stretch the most about an inch or a tad more than an inch , according to both of my low straight and slim fit.

For the thigh are you saying it stretched 1" when measured laying flat? so that would mean 2" in circumference?
