For anyone else wondering, Gilroy is a zero for the rest of the week.
The trick with those Orchard St trousers is to size to fit the thigh and have a loose waist to wear with suspenders. Ask for measurements. I'm sure the seller will give a decent discount off ebay.
the RRL site is ridiculously painful to browse, having full Flash will probably keep a few resellers from stealing those nice photographs. I think they kept that in mind when developing the site to try to protect their photos and descriptions. I must say it is a nice site if it were redone in HTML. Only wish they put up more photographs per item (detail shots) as some items only have 1 picture and made the photographs bigger without having to ZOOM IN within that tiny little 300 pixel box.
Love the fact there might finally be a coherent wealth of RRL knowledge (wash codes, cuts, UPCs) and HD photographs online with a little insight into the inspiration and production process behind how each piece was distressed and created. As of right now, the site looks too rushed and undeveloped.
EDIT: the site just crashed my mozilla. And damn it they only have a few jeans listed from past seasons like Sante Fe and Barn Green washes. I am now convinced instead of sending all that stuff to outlets they're going to give the overstock an extra few weeks/months to sell online at retail and then, whatever is leftover will make it's rounds to outlets.
And what's with the useless size chart/fit guide? it just redirects back to the pics. They have quite a lot of jeans in stock, with tons of sizes and quantities displayed. Some sizes only have 1 while others have 4+. If this was a new run of merchandise produced for the website wouldn't they be fully stocked with everything?
Waaay over priced. The last season version was just on sale for $ 116. A little fuller cut but still trim fit.
RL always try to sell everything possible in first place. End of season, retail store sends overstocks to High Point, NC where they manage their retail inventories and e-commerce operation. They update items they are selling on their website with store buybacks. A few good things about website is that I don't have to go to store to see what kind of washes they have.
Did they have anything? Any past season stuffs?
Zero, meaning nothing at all.
when you say zero, do you mean...
3 pairs bowery boots at chicago.
Do you know what sizes they were? and price?
Thanks in advance.
8D, 9D, 12D. I believe.
Price is 850.
There is also two other types of RRL boots available.
Did anyone check out the details on the dust brown slim bootcut work pant?
WOW is all I will say. I could do without the strange pattern on the front of the pants, but the details around the back pockets and belt loops are amazing! $490 is awfully steep, though.
Anyone know if this particular rl_store seller is a member of SF? There seem to be many iterations of the same name...
Apparently, I met the creative director's personal trainer today at work. told him to tell the guy to open a RRL shop in Boston,.
Namor, I have those Orchard St. bucklebacks. You are right to experience this longing.
What's the fit like in the thighs?
I'm gonna have to PM the seller for measurements. Just really don't want to spend $260 on them, especially if they fit tight in the thighs. The way they look in the photos, it looks like you wouldn't even have to zip and button them up much less use suspenders; the thighs would just hold the pants up for you.
