Yes, maybe they do fit similar to the chinos and I'm just imagining things.. and they do definitely have a little bit of green tint to them.

100% agree. Ebay has been pretty good on RRL lately. Also, I have a pair of these (bought off ebay a while ago). These are kind of officer's pants in wool.[/q

+1 thats one reason i didnt want to sell them because the ebay competition was pretty tough.

holy smokes, someone just bought the 33 :/

can someone else comment on sizing. silvios auction described them as being very slim but rkd stated that they fit like his selvedge officer chinos which happen to be generous. I think I need a 34 as I take a 34 in most RRL jeans/chinos

I don't have my selvedge officer chinos anymore, but I think I'm piecing this together now. I think my wool and selvedge officer chinos measure similar in the waist, but I have a distinct impression that the selvedge chinos were much fuller - they looked huge on me, while the wool ones look fine, even if maybe a bit big in the waist. I could be remembering incorrectly, but it seems to jive with what you are both saying.

What I should have done is bought the 33 off ebay...

The wool officer chinos are from Orchard St, and they run slimmer than the selvedge chinos. Leg tapers down to 7.5 instead of the usual 8" in sz 30. Thigh is slimmer as well. Waist is the same +2" from tagged.

Note to self: Don't try to explain something in multiple posts that El Duderino can answer in one sentence.
