Let's put this to the test and see if it is trueI strongly suspect someone from RL reads this forum. Several weeks ago, we discussed how the sizing charts on the website were incorrect. They were showing vanity+4 and I posted here about it a couple times. Just recently, I noticed they corrected the charts, and I posted it here again.
We also had discussion here about the denim used on the Straight and Low Straight Once-Washed, and how the website reported the weight to be 16 oz. Union Standard. But we suspected it was actually 13.75 oz. And there was the tinted versus the untinted versions, and how they seemed to be shipping the oldest (untinted) stock first, and some of us checked the dates on our tags and posted that info here. Well, I just noticed the website has changed the descriptions for the Once-Washed Straight and Low Straight to say the fabric is 13.75 oz. They also revised the descriptions of the fabric, saying, "Right-hand twill is custom-developed to create a “grin-through” effect in which the lighter-hued weft yarns are visible on the face of the cloth." There are new photos of the Low Straight showing that denim, but the photos on the Straight fit still show the tinted weft. I still have to wonder which version they would ship out to fill orders.
Anyway, there may not be anyone from RL lurking here, but the timing is uncanny. All the minutiae we throw around on here could actually be going somewhere.
I almost bought that shearling but I waited too long. Are the pockets at all tough to access because of the way the flap is attached? What about on the brown denim one, is it any better or worse?Roughout shearling lined ranch jacket, LE straight fit canvas pants. White's oxfords. View attachment 2331641
Thank you. It looks like they sold the XS anyway which is good because I think I would need a small.I think the measurements are a bit off. It's generous but not quite that huge. My large is 50 chest which is definitely generous but not the 53" they have listed.
I have a pair of RRL cords from around 2010 that have that closure. It's just a hook and loop type and not difficult to undo. You underpants are safe.
Sorry to disappoint, although it would be crazy if nobody from their team was reading itI strongly suspect someone from RL reads this forum. Wait, are you saying that after our posts on here yesterday, these jeans appeared on the website? (I haven't looked for them myself.)I dont know what to say ... I am starting to feel paranoid.

I was mostly joking, but that jean had not appeared on the North American RRL selections until I checked about an hour ago to see if anything new was showing up. Low and behold that jean was available for purchase stateside. I'm not sure if it's coincidence or what, but I am kind of curious now if they do check this group on occasion? I do know that we have some unknown Jacques Marie Mage employee that checks the Jacques marie mage group thread sometimes because similar things happen where someone complains about an issue, and voila it magically gets fixed in a day or two. 😲Wait, are you saying that after our posts on here yesterday, these jeans appeared on the website? Very interesting. So, to summarize, in my post yesterday, I said I suspect that someone from RL must lurk here because certain issues we’ve raised have recently been resolved by RL. Then you, sort of half jokingly, conducted a test, and that issue was resolved the next day! I think we should operate under the assumption that someone from RL is indeed lurking on this forum. And I personally think it’s smart for the company to have someone on here. I only wish that instead of lurking they’d come forward and openly participate, but maybe that would result in them becoming overwhelmed by too many requests and issues to address. Again, interesting to ponder this issue.I was mostly joking, but that jean had not appeared on the North American RRL selections until I checked about an hour ago to see if anything new was showing up.
