Wow, do you own those?
No, I wish, I simply pinched that photo from this Facebook page:

Said page is well worth a visit for enthusiasts of vintage Lee jeans and/or vintage jeans in general.

I do however own a pair of RRL 101 Riders in olive and have taken a great appreciation to the overall design. If RRL were to release any more of these jeans, true to the early designs by Lee (as pictured above), non distressed and in indigo, I'd certainly be very keen to acquire them, even at full retail.

Not RRL but definitely missed out on these

And anyone got these, how do they fit sizing wise?

It looks to me just like the Slim Fit is supposed to look. I'm an actual 31" waist myself and I always have to go down to a RRL size 29, but if those fit you in the waist, then you've found your size. And you got it on the first try, which is better than a lot of people!
Thanks! I've not worn anything but straight cuts for the past five years or so, and the cut of the leg on the slims is just about what I was looking for.

What's throwing me off is the top block--it doesn't look as clean as some, but not all, of the photos I've seen online, including those on Ralph's website. The denim seems to be bunching up a bit, though not pulling. Will it look more natural with wear and break-in? Sorry, for the naive questions.

I think as the denim ages and gets softer it will drape more instead of bunching up. But I think it looks very good now.
