Hi all,

I recently purchased this RRL Leeland denim jacket BNWT from a seller on eBay and I have some concerns that it may be fake. Firstly, all images I have found of this jacket online say that it was made in Mexico and my one says that it was made in China.

Furthermore, images of the same jacket online have the words "RRL Cowboy" stamped on the buttons but the buttons on the jacket I received don't. I know that RRL does make some of their products in China so that may explain the "made in China" tag but I cannot find any RRL jacket that has the same buttons as mine. The construction, tags and fit of the jacket all seem good so any insights or feedback you had would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Yes, sorry to say that is almost certainly fake. The wrong buttons, "fabruqué," and (at least compared to mine) the label is wrong and should only have red stitching, not that thicker yellow thread stitched around it.

This jacket has been faked, checkout this fake Leeland for example, although this example does have different buttons compared to the one you shared. My original has buttons that have RRL COWBOY embossed on them and has "Made in Mexico Fabriqué au Mexique" printed on the tag.

Pocket logo is wrong, too.

Yeah, if I wanted to wear it as a traditional slim-fit Western shirt I would definitely size down to medium, but as a suede overshirt I like the way the large works. While medium is typically my RRL size, since I'm 6'3" I sometimes go with a large to get sufficient length.
I wonder what would have happened if you tried to exchange.

Wait, you’re the guy who got the aforementioned infamous $1,864 off version of this shirt??

I don’t think I’ve ever owned a RRL piece that I’ve had to re-sew on at least one button. Why oh why can’t RRL get that right?
Same here. They're sewn on by machine, and it's not a very reliable type of stitch. Sewing them on by hand is much better, but I imagine that would be too costly.
