I'm very curious what the CS rep has to say. Keep us informed if you would.
I gave up on waiting for an email and called CS. She noted all my concerns and started the exchange, and ordered a product verification to ensure the jeans will have the yellow/tan stain (I didn't describe it well, but once she saw the cuffs in the listing photo she understood). She also put in a note that they should be packaged flat and not wadded up. We'll see what happens next. The replacement order has the same product number, which probably means nothing.

Edit: She sounded nonplussed about them being extremely tight/narrow and possibly washed; that they were wadded up seemed to be her chief concern. My guess is they'll iron this pair and put them back up for sale. Take note if you're buying a pair of 30x34 once-washed straights!

Hey, are you having a tough time getting those jeans unbuttoned? Because it looks like you're having to carry one of those portable urinals. (Sorry, that was bad!! Reference to Zippy's post from this morning #47,345)

These tags should be in all jeans. The 0922 means they were manufactured in Sept.
2022. Check yours; I'm guessing the crumpled ones you just received from RL with the white weft are older than the tinted ones you got from Cultizm. Sorry I didn't think of this earlier.

Thank you, no worries! Now I'm armed with this knowledge going forward!

You are correct; the tinted ones are 0922. Believe it or not, this "new" crumpled pair says 1117. Unless they changed their system, these are over 7 years old?! Crazy.

Yeah, some of the ones I've recently received are 1018, so almost as old. I think they really want to move out the old stock before shipping anything newer. There's a common inventory method called FIFO (First In First Out) which applies to goods that are subject to aging. This must apply to clothing since trends and styles change. It will be interesting to see if they ship you a more recent pair.

I can definitely imagine some of the staples coming from older era

Edit and now I’m interested going to pull out some of my stuff one of these days and see when they were made…

On many garments, I've cut those tags off because they can be scratchy and irritating against the skin. But then with a Sharpie I mark the date somewhere inside the garment.

I just had another thought. Maybe the RL webstore only has inventory of the old version in your size. To get the newer tinted version, maybe you have to get them from an RRL shop or from another retailer like you did from Cultizm. Oh well, we'll see what they ship out.

You may be right. I just checked my slim fit once wash that I purchased from Huckberry and they say 1121 on the tag. I suspect retailers who ordered in the recent past are getting that batch.

I guess superheavy jeans are for the raw denim enthusiasts and that’s why they’re only available in raw but part of me wonders what would happen if I bought a pair and washed it like 20 times before wearing.
