I'm pretty sure they removed the pocket stitching due to the Levi's lawsuit, which is why older models have it and new ones don't. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope. As recently as 3 weeks ago, the RL stores here in NY were selling raw and other denim with back pocket stiching. I bought my raw jeans with pocket stiching in March or so. They are still in stores (again, these are the straight and low straight fits. Not sure about slim bootcut, etc).

The raw slim fits don't have pocket stitching and the straight cuts have them

So that would mean that the Low Straight has stitching. It will be interesting to see what shows up in Mauro's shipment.

They had them. They were well stocked in the Officers Chinos.

Ended up getting 2 pairs of Regulation Shinos, thought the fit was better for work.

what's the difference between the officer and regulation chinos?

Officers are slimmer, mo bettah...? Perhaps, but I will be wearing mine more at work, and just like the slightly more relaxed fit of the regualrtion. The regualtion cut is by no means baggy or super loose, more cut like a standard straight leg pair of jeans.

They aren't "fitted" by any means, definitely run true to size. They are a bit shorter and kind of squared off at the hem.

I've found that some of the Oxfords, Chambrays, and Vintage Oxfords fit differently, they are not all cut alike.

Random question. For RRL men's jeans/pants. What is the smallest waist size sold in stores? 30? 28? 26? 29?

I have a number of pairs of RRL jeans and cords that I will be listing today, but I'm having trouble figuring out if a few of them are men's or women's due to the crazy small sizes (28 and 29 waist).

RRL doesn't have a strong womens collection (yet) so more than likely what you have is mens. Usually the rises on the jeans are also giveaways as to whether or not they're mens or womens.

What would reasonable rises be for jeans in that size range (28-30)?

    Thanks for the information!

Depends entirely on the cut of the jeans/cords. Assuming the tagged waists are true to measure, I'd say anywhere from a 9.25" (low rise) to a 10"+ (mid-high rise) would be acceptable on a size 28 with a general rule of adding .25" every size/every other size going up. If you're seing rises like 8.5" or lower...probably womens.

Again, these are general rules that take into account that womens jeans/pants tend to have lower rises than their male counterparts. A lot of it is also common sense; if a pair is labeled 28 with a 32" waist and a 8.5" rise... you should probably get the hint.
