This one's on my buy list too! It looks good here. Would you say its the same as in fit: medium a bit slim and large you're swimming in it?
I recently tried this on and agree that it's a great choice. It's currently my fave of the Westerns this season. I usually wear a Medium in RRL shirts, but I tend to size up in Westerns as they can be a bit too fitted. This is the Large. It's on the relaxed side but I've been going with it.

Oh man, that's a perfect fit. Looks comfortable yet not slouchy.

I got the red western coming in today in Large and ordered the Medium too (hasn't shipped yet, grr..) so I'll see how they both fit. Im like you, Medium in all their workshirts but their westerns are snug and remind me that I still gotta lose weight haha

Curious if anyone was planning to grab anything from the Zefren-M collection? I saw the green corduroy shirt with some native american inspired designs I was considering trying out.

I had the shirt and sent it back. The fit was a little off from what I expect (tighter through chest and shoulders) and the buttons were way too boring for a special- or limited-edition shirt. The pattern is muted (could be good or bad based on preference) though the fabric is nice. Basically I didn’t $500 like it.

Have any of you guys had RRL suits/jackets altered? I need to let out an RRL jacket about an inch but I don't know if there's inlay.

So on paper, I was like, a yellow western shirt? Really? But this is a great shirt. Almost looks like a deerskin chamois, and super soft..

Yea I was wondering that too, I would have thought an off white is an obvious choice instead though (I never really wanted that dress shirt white western wanted something more egg shell/ off white), probably just have to see the yellow in person

Hoping you gentlemen can help me out with my western shirt conundrum. I love the RRL western shirts but the mediums feel too slim on me. I am losing weight and it feels great but I also know you shouldn't buy clothes that fit a goal weight you're tryna hit. Problem is all my westerns are medium and the red one just came in in large. It looks okay in the photos but in motion it looks to big on me.. thoughts?

Here's the indigo and black in Medium:

And here's the red in Large, tucked and untucked:

Thanks guys!

While the red doesn’t look like the wrong size per se the black and blue look like how a western shirt should fit.
To that I wouldn’t be putting the black or blue in the dryer, and maybe a good shrink job would make the red fit just right.

I doubt many shirts would be worth $500.

The red shirt does not seem that tucked in...sure when you are going to move it's going to untuck a bit but the other two seems more tucked in...so the outcome is different.
I prefer the body fit on the red, even untucked, and the sleeves on the other. Have the same problem all the time.

I have a certain goal of maintaining my weight where it is, possibly losing a bit, but I also tend to consider my RRL pieces as collection pieces that I basically cannot replace unless I find them second hand. For that reason I made the decision one or two years ago to always go for the larger size if between two sizes and pretty happy with the decision, and unhappy when I wear my lower sizes from earlier purchases and it feels close to too tight.

Lot of discounts on previous collections here : https://www.brogueshop.com/search?options[prefix]=last&page=1&q=rrl&type=product,article,page

As for Zefren M shirt...500 USD probably means 500 euros for Europe...so will be a hard pass all the more I usually dislike corduroy, but was contemplating making an exception, at a reasonable price.

Imho, the fit of the red Western looks good, the indigo looks too tight, the black a tad too snug. I think you're better off going L on such shirts. If you feel that you have too much excess fabric around the waist when wearing an L, you could consider having them darted from the back.
