Isn't the RRL hunting one you have hand knit?
They mallard back one? Yeah I think it is. It also was about twice the price of the Polo one. If the Polo makes it to usual sale time, I’ll make the decision if I need another zip sweater with ducks (and probably get it).

I'm leaning towards the same strategy, just continue eating more or less around maintenance or a bit below it and don't up the weights that much.
I have a 36" chest and want to keep it that way. When I started training I was 135 lbs. Now I'm 150, and my chest hasn't widened despite gaining some muscle there. I think the main reasons are that I only focus chest once a week and I eat only a slight surplus instead of 400+. The growth is slower, but I don't pack on weight in unwanted areas. If you've already got too much, yeah, a temporary deficit might be necessary.

Yeah, I doubt I'd even wear that cosplaying in Davey Crocket's home state of Tennessee.. lol, that thing is just awful
But what if you were cosplaying famous trial lawyers?

Honestly would not consider that jacket but was struck by feel and construction quality for a Polo piece.

That's a nice improvement (135-150lbs), nice work.

My hope is that with dropping my body fat a percentage of two and then keeping my weight the same, my chest will more or less stay the same, just with slightly less body fat.

Mainline PRL stuff always has some gems (RRL-adjacent or otherwise) but you've just gotta sift through a lot of crap to find it usually. I do agree with the posters here who say they seem to have more of the better stuff as of late.

Polo has always had a some RRL adjacent pieces. Pretty much everything in their Polo Country line. But yeah, seems like they’re doing more RRL type stuff lately like that doeskin fringe jacket. Honestly they could have slapped an RRL label on it and charged another $500 and it would fit right in. There’s a similar vest available too.

I saw this Polo sweater which was nice. Notable for not saying Polo anywhere on it. Not as nice feel as a similar RRL one I have but certainly acceptable.

That sweater is fantastic looking and when I first saw it on the site I too was surprised it didn't say "Polo" or "PRL24" or "Ralph Lauren" or whatever all over it.

Every year Filson puts out a limited handknit Cowichan sweater and I have a zip-up one from about 10 or 12 years ago that I love but it wears more like a jacket than cardigan. The past few years I've wanted to get another know that they've begun occasionally offering cardigans and shawl collar pull-overs but I haven't been to keen on the last few designs they've had. I am still waiting to see what the 2024 one looks like but if it's unappealing again, I may go for this Polo one.

Speaking of hand knit cowichan sweaters, Todd Snyder has been offering some that are decent lately.

Then there’s all the Naomi Glasses stuff.

This could pass for RRL.

This was nice. Maybe not quite as RRL as some things.

This too.
That Polo Utility Jacket looks 100% inspired by Carhartt's Detroit jacket

Have been a fan of Polo since middle school. The line has always put out some items that could be RRL and sometimes...P Label. Glad they are back on track with some higher quality items that stand out from standard Polo.

Sitting by the pool listlessly scrolling through the Ralph site showed the fleece collar brown denim jacket in stock at the local store. So back to the store I went. They did not in fact have it in stock nor did they have the blanket stripe work shirt.

But I caught up with long time sales dude. He then forced me to get the geometric print western and some hats. Fit is similar to the slim buffalo westerns. Similar weight too.

And as I write this post he just called and said they unboxed some stuff and the jacket was there. So I guess I’m heading back tomorrow. 😬

I’m being sold on that geometric shirt more and more each time I see it
