I also thought "vintage cut" meant that the clothes are sized smaller (because people used to be smaller / more fit). Is that wrong? Or does it depend on the item?

So to be clear, I don't think they are referring to the bomber as "vintage" fit, that was my own way of explaining how the fit could have been so awful. When I first put it on, I was sure my SA had either made a mistake and brought me an XL (I wear a M), or that he was trolling me for a laugh. It really is too bad though, since its a beautiful garment.

While there, I did pick this one up, great shirt, almost summer wear, but will be great with henley underneath for fall

Thanks! For some reason, I always associated that term with tight fighting fitting tops. I did associate it with wider jeans though. Probably because I picture stereotypical 70s/80s outfits whenever I read "vintage".

The brown denim jacket is described as vintage fit, so now it makes sense that I sized down :]
Generally, I assume vintage fit regarding bombers to mean especially high waisted and square through the body with fuller arms. Pants were worn higher at the natural hips and it’s relatively modern to have v shaped bodies and high cut, thinner arm holes.

You nailed the fit on this one.

Armholes definitely seemed low, but my arms were swimming in there. Not exaggerating when I say I could have likely worn these as pants

I also don't like it when the sleeve length is too long, but it's great on this jacket. If it's too long, you can easily roll it up a bit (like in the pic).

Edit: to clarify, I didn't mean the sleeve length on this jacket is too long yet despite that still great. I meant that the sleeve length is not too long — it's good, it's great. Not sure if this clarification was necessary, but I can see how my comment could be interpreted differently.
I was actually unclear, hah. I meant to say I need at least 35". I'm 6'2" and need some extra sleeve.

One of the things I appreciate most about RRL is their mediums almost always have a 35"+ sleeve, even jackets and coats. I was looking at Huckberry's sale sweaters for winter and the only way to get a 35" sleeve in most brands is XL/XXL. Often it's still 1" too short.

I've added a bunch of items to the buy & sell thread. As I noted, reasonable offers will be accepted. Looking to downsize my collection. All size medium.

yup polo, those RL67 jacket
Oh man!! Do you like it and would you recommend?

I know this is an RRL thread but the stuff Polo is putting out is KILLING it. That New York collection got that big coat that's iconic but $2500 is steep.

I like RL67 stuff and you can definitely find some on eBay though they got like 3 different manufacture depends on era, so definitely ask for measurements. with regard to the coat, have you look at Anthology x Permanent Style one as well, not cheap either but I have the herringbone version and I like it (but it's probably not "true" soft polo coat)
