Not the greatest fit pic (small apartment, bad lightning), but this is how this season's brown denim jacket fits.

I am wearing a size small. I have sized down a bit to achieve a slim fit. Makes layering difficult though, so if you like wearing thick shirts/sweaters, best to stick to your regular size.

Wearing it with the slim fit denim shirt, vintage fit jeans & cowboy boots.

The fit and the jacket more specifically look great. The jacket fits right in with the rest of the look and the pre-aging of the jacket looks well done.

Yeah, good luck with that, that’s a full rebuild unless you sacrifice the buttons closest to the cuff. Posssible to shorten from shoulders maybe?

This is my fear. That jacket was the top of my list this season but as I need a 33-34" arm, definitely worried about the sleeve being too long on a medium. Maybe I'll order two and see if one works out.

So for you all that like the high slim fit, they had them in a really nice, heavy and rigid denim. Really liked the way they looked so grabbed my size, but if you like the high slims, but darker wash, these are for you

Also, tried the indigo leather bomber and really wanted it to work, but cut is very, very, ugh, vintage inspired to say the least. I tried the M and probably needed to size to an XS, as I could have fit my legs in the sleeves!

I started learning Dutch about 18 months ago and it's been far easier than any other I've studied. Like, scary easy for an English speaker.


Thanks kurdo, that jacket wasn't on my buy list, but now it is. Looks great. I might size down to small too but I'm worried about sleeve length (I need 35").

I also don't like it when the sleeve length is too long, but it's great on this jacket. If it's too long, you can easily roll it up a bit (like in the pic).

Edit: to clarify, I didn't mean the sleeve length on this jacket is too long yet despite that still great. I meant that the sleeve length is not too long — it's good, it's great. Not sure if this clarification was necessary, but I can see how my comment could be interpreted differently.

I also thought "vintage cut" meant that the clothes are sized smaller (because people used to be smaller / more fit). Is that wrong? Or does it depend on the item?

Not at all. Vintage cut is generally cut more loosely and anti-fit. Slim fit is very much an invention of the 2000s and 2010s.

Thanks! For some reason, I always associated that term with tight fighting fitting tops. I did associate it with wider jeans though. Probably because I picture stereotypical 70s/80s outfits whenever I read "vintage".

The brown denim jacket is described as vintage fit, so now it makes sense that I sized down :]

Do you happen to know the name of the wash?

I think “vintage fit” depends on what the brand defines it to be. For RRL it means wider/looser. But I’ve encountered brands where vintage fit means smaller. Not being vanity sized also might enter into it.
