I hear ya. Sadly Polo's denim has never impressed me, so $200 feels a bit much. Imo they're about on par with Levi's Premium, which are selvedge to boot (just got a pair for $80 on sale). I'd rather spend a bit more and get RRL. Hopefully they have some ecru in the pipeline.

Now THAT's a pair I'd throw some real cash at. Sad I missed them.

For years I have been waiting on them to do a plain straight or low straight selvedge jean in white, ecru, off-white, whatever, and no dice. I bought the white slim version they did last year, and donated them after a couple of wears, they just weren't doing it for me. We need to start a letter-writing campaign or something.

I have a pair of slim narrow selvedge in "chalk dust" from 2016. I found the order email and they were $67 from Ralph. Made in china with leather logo patch and button fly. That really was the time of deep discount RRL.

I'd be all over an off white/ecru pair in low straight.

These Polo's jeans seem to have taken a lot of inspiration from these RRL Cowboy jeans, that in turn are basically a copy of a design by Lee jeans. I've seen other pieces released under the Polo x Naomi label, that appeared to be toned down and/or slight modified and lower quality versions of recently released RRL pieces.

I got these too! They're fantastic.

They have that vintage straight fit in white, did you not like that one? Sold out of course but I thought the fit was great:

Jesus Christ.. they knocked it out the park this season. I feel like I want at least one thing from each photo lol.

The western yoked, shearling-collared jacket in the second photo is absolutely filthy and will be the subject of several of my dreams moving forward.

I've also never seen a type-II grizzly jacket in leather from RRL; they've always done denim variations. That's exciting.

That Rocky Mountain Featherbed lookin puffer jacket is superb too. I swear if Texas doesn't get a cold winter this season I'm.... not gonna do anything but complain. But damnit. And those tan and red western shirts are delicious.

I have skinny chicken legs so the vintage five pocket always just look like I’m swimming in them. They also don’t look great with western boots. I need the straight or low straight

Derek Guy is a fan of those jeans.
Hmm, weird coincidence... if they were 30% cheaper I'd consider it. But they're already sold out in my size.

I'm a 29 in RRL but on Ralph's site these Polos have me at 28. That's a lot of vanity for a 31" waist.

Funny you mention those white vintage fit jeans.

Last Wednesday when a bunch of sale items/sizes got added, I ordered the paint splattered jacket, hot rod trucker hat, repaired vintage fit jeans, those white ones, and the double rider leather jacket. The hat and repaired jeans got cancelled a couple days later. Then the leather jacket cancelled (was expecting that tbh). Then I got a shipping notice for the paint splatter jacket but a couple hours after that I got email that it had been refunded. They sent me an email saying the white jean order was taking longer than expected. But today I finally got the cancellation email. I was however able to reorder the repaired jeans and they actually shipped and picked up by UPS. I was also able to reorder the paint splatter jacket and got shipping notice today but I won't believe it until UPS has it.

I kept seeing those white jean show available/not available this week.

There was also a cotton linen popover shirt order that got cancelled that was then reordered. I'm waiting for that to be cancelled too.

What's going on over there?? That's unacceptable logistically and on a customer service level. The first and only time this happened to me at Stag (they didn't have the size I ordered), they offered a $25 gift card and free shipping on my next order without even a complaint from me. This hasn't happened to me yet with RL but I uh... don't order as much as you, lol

This happens every sale season. At some point they add a bunch of items/sizes that were previously unavailable. I think that morning RRL items on sale went from under a hundred to something like 180. I assume they're opening up more inventory that's in stores. The problem being on the fulfillment end as someone from the store has to pull and ship the item which doesn't always happen real fast.

They always send a 10% code which doesn't work on RRL item with the cancellation email. Gee thanks.

The white vintage fit jeans were never even available in Europe ... at least, I never saw those on the NL website.

I saw it at my local store. It's a nice shirt, very soft, but something incongruous (to me) about a cashmere western shirt, so I didn't have much interest.
Im more city mouse than country mouse so maybe that explains my interest in this shirt. I have a black western cashmere shirt from roughly 10 years ago and it is amazing. It likely makes zero sense in Texas, but looks great and has appropriate weight in the PNW. If I were home I would share photos, but currently embedded with a clique of wild boar hunters in the south of Italy and I didn’t want to be the only one in cashmere 💁🏻‍♂️
