You need them.
Also, @WaltDud needs to get a backup pair.
Lol! I actually remember when they first dropped I knew I was going to get em. Last I checked they were all sold out, with a size or two coming in every now and then. I don't think they'll make it to the sale.

I kind of want to give these a shot and maybe a henley for the buy $1000 for $500 sale:

I think I'll just call a random store and try my luck.

Thinking about these myself. Obviously the materials, color and texture and attractive. But the shaft looks kinda short and wide. Wish he’d do a taller black calf dress boot. Ropers are inherently casual. Hmmm, already have a dark brown roper. I’m on the fence on this one. Would go great with black denim. How different is this one from the SOP version or is it the same?

From what I can tell, it's the same boot. IF there's any difference, the shaft on the SOP version looks skinnier but not sure if its just a different sized boot or not. Lighting is what I chalk up to any of the differences between the two but.. I don't see too many black suede cowboy boots, which is why I love it.

In my experience, black suede is always stiffer than brown and takes longer to break in but once it does, and it's scuffed and dirty.... Man.

It does look a lot skinnier! Interestingly, Ralph says 10.5” shaft height but SOP says 9”. I bet Ralph measured from the heel cuz that’s 1.25”.

Lol it’s funny reading that cause I instantly imagined Ralph himself in an apron somewhere measuring the boots for the online size chart 🤣

The other brown roughout boot looks incredible too with that contrasting leather and suede. I also want it, but may go black first:

Yeah the brown is going to be more versatile. I already have the version that’s brown leather all over (Walker Roper-black). The species is actually called black bison but Ralph labeled the color black. It’s definitely dark brown though. The Java colored suede roughouts are dope. Probably end up getting the matching belt. Hey, if you get the black suede, what belt are you planning on wearing with them?

Honestly, the debut might have to be black denim, white shirt/henley, and one of their colorful workshirts. Thinking the yellow/green buffalo plaid one I have.

I also love this look and is one of the reasons I really wanted the wool/cotton LE straight fits (got a back-up pair on them too...) because this is the slim fit version from several years ago before I even got into the brand heavy:

I know it's shiny leather but it could still work with suede. I love the look of tucked in Western shirts but I can't get away with it.

Wbu? You getting em?

- EDIT: NVM, made a decision based on the "RIGID DENIM" note. Went with W32 even though that's normally a bit large with the High Slim Fits.

Yeah was about to say, I am typically a 32 in officer/field chinos, and bought these in a 33 like my other high slims. I probably could have done a 32 since the denim will stretch out and I need to wear a belt with the 33, but figure I'd rather grow into them than grow out of them over time if ya know what I mean, so I kept the 33

I see there's already been some talking regarding the turquoise jeans sizing.

I went with W32. I have another pair of High Slim Fit Jeans (the light brown ones) in W32, but those are a bit too large. However, W33 is the perfect size for my regular RRL Slim Fit Jeans. These being described as "RIGID DENIM", I figured I should stick to W32. I hope I made the right decision :D.

Those are good lookin boots, jeans and belt! The big check shirt is fire too. Idk man, I only have one pair of black boots right now, AE shell Dundee’s. They’re very versatile for a black boot. I really don’t “need” another black boot. But I’ve been “wanting” to add another black boot. I’ve been eyeing the SOP model, the S&S engineer black roughout and a couple from Alden. I kind of only want the RRL because of the deal and not because it will necessarily be the best for my purposes. Black suede looks so good though. Another positive about the RRL is the beefy sole. I told myself the next black cowboy boot gotta be black smooth calf and I also want a black Indy.

If I did go for them I’d probably try to find a wider black suede western style belt. You know that belt you posted would go with the black hand tooled wingtip boots they had recently. I already talked myself out of those though. I probably won’t end up getting the black roughouts but will load up on denim and belts instead out of practicality.
