I live in London so it's very unlikely to be user for any actual 'manual labour' more on cold morning at car meets etc, cold afetnoons out etc.
Manual labor, we don’t speak that language in the forum! Although I have been wearing more Rrl as a contractor but I’m very aware of what my task is when I do. Painting? No, light carpentry? Sure. It’s funny when another tradesmen comments on a factory faded shirt and says something like, “i got one similar from Walmart” or “ I like that shirt, what’d ya pay? 10-20 bucks?” I just go along with it usually.

I like the puffer vests because I can wear that under a jacket and not have the sleeves be too tight from the layering. Also, being in Texas and having only .5 days of the year under 30, the vest is a good middle ground.

I know RRL doesn't have exclusive rights to a "boot stitch" on a pocket or boots but this is still funny to see and makes me think of RRL's westerns immediately:

Looks nice though. Priced around the same too.

The chest pocket shape looks pretty similar to RRL as well. As RRL's pocket shape seems to be a little bit longer.

someone here has the experience to get a RRL suit tailored a full size down? I recently got a nice 2 piece suit but both the jacket and pants are larger than my usual size, are there enough extra fabrics for tailoring and in the same time won't change the proportion of the whole suit?
I think you will end up having an issue with the pocket position unless they deconstruct the entire suit and shorten it both from the top and the bottom—basically, scale it down in proportion as best as they could. However, considering the time involved, which may result in high costs, I reckon it might be more cost-effective to simply buy the correct size in this case.

About 14/15 years ago Levi’s was suing a whole bunch of companies, including RRL and POLO, for pocket stitching being too similar to their arcuate design. RRL changed design and dumped a bunch of old design jeans on places like TJ Maxx.

I'll do y'all one better... mine came with NO metal button on the collar!

I'm really conflicted because it's a beautiful shirt. The fit is flawless too and I'm a pretty muscular dude (the other medium westerns I can barely button up).

What would you guys do? Send it back or find a spare metal button and sow it on there myself?
I had the concho button come off on one of my denim western shirt several years ago. I contacted my SA at the Broadway store, and they gave me a new one to sew on. You might try going that route.

Do the Slim Fit jeans fit TTS (factoring in vanity sizing)? I’ve seen retailers recommending sizing up, but others recommending sizing down. I only ask because I’m wondering if they would fit over the Plainview Cowboy boots without “printing.” If the jeans are TTS, there’s no way the leg openings of my size (33 actual waist, 31 vanity) are large enough. If it’s best to size up with the jeans, however, there’s a chance.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try and call a couple of stores.

Huckberry has the patchwork limited edition shirt priced incorrectly @ 395 instead of 595 if anyone was interested in one.

Thanks for posting this!

I enjoy patchwork stuff and I really liked this shirt when I first saw it but it was too similar in colors and patterns to a wool patchwork overshirt I have from Beams+, but at the mispriced $395 along with an old 20% off code I had from Huckberry squirreled away in my email, I decided to go for it.

I also grabbed the "Dockman Denim Workshirt" because I need another blue denim or chambray shirt like I need a whole in my head. After I got my shipping notification this morning I started wondering, "Do I already have that shirt?" I couldn't find one exactly like it from RRL in my closet or dresser and I don't think it's in one of the tubs of clothing I have stored away in the garage... oh well. 😅

Anyone own this season’s quilted jacket/ puffer (it comes in green, orange and the longer one in blue)? What is the sizing like?

I usually wear large for rrl tees/ shirts but medium for sweaters.

I checked the measurements for the puffer in large and it seems huge!
