Yeah Seattle doesn’t actually get that cold. Usually mid/upper 40s F and wet in the winter. I don’t think we’ve gotten frost but once or twice this season so far.

The unlined pea coat is fine for the 10 minute drive. Plus I had the seat heater on.

Totally off topic, but I once heard a grunge music band member (can’t recall who) explain the whole Seattle grunge music genre like this ..... (now pretend a minute I’m like Kurt Cobain or Dave Grohl for dramatic effect) ..... well it rains a bit in Seattle, so when you’re a teenager you tend to wind up hanging out a lot in one of your friend‘s dad’s musty old garage with nothing to do ..... eventually someone brings their guitar along and then bingo ..... the next thing you know you’re forming a noisy ripped jeans, combat boot and flannel shirt wearing rock band.
Hmmmm ..... and then I imagine from there it’s just another short-hop-skip-and-a-jump before you eventually find yourself cuddled up in front of your laptop hugging a warm mug of mocha latte in a non-descript coffeehouse while you wait out the next cloud burst. Hello Starbucks! Am I somewhat correct?

Bonus: I was speaking last week with a RRL sales associate about the recent phantom sales items sporadically dropping on the website and he claims that RL actually came across a bunch of old clothing items in a warehouse and those were the items put online. Now I only share this next juicy tidbit of info with you because lately I’ve really grown to respect anonymous social media people like yourself. Supposedly, there is also a rather large cache of jeans from a few years back that were also discovered and they might also be dropped this week. Now I have no way to confirm that, but I for one have been walking around today with one hand in my pocket and the other one‘s holding my credit card .... just in case.

Somewhat Seattle and RRL related, but a bit over 10 years ago there was an RRL North Bend collection. I'm pretty certain it was in reference to North Bend, WA which is now a remote suburb of Seattle but was originally a logging town. The collection had lots of plaid shirts and fleece and puffy vests which totally captured the look. It was not a look I wished to partake of as it was a bit too local plus you could get similar Filson items for a lot less.

Fun North Bend fact 1. The tv series Twin Peaks exteriors were filmed there.
Fun North Bend fact 2. Nintendo of America distribution center is there.

I've had this confirmed as well. All deadstock.

When I try to buy the extra “stock”, it always goes to sold out.

I just think RL has a terrible online database. This has happened for years.

Has anyone seen the wool field chinos from the FW line? I haven’t found them online but am very interested in checking them out.
