In the description for the 185 dollar tees it says vintage inspired fit. Anyone knows with this mean? I'm hoping it means slim fit.

It means "vintage = let's charge $185 for a t-shirt and see who bites."

Assuming that t-shirt cost maybe $15 to produce, tops, what's the percentage up-charge at $185? Help me out, math people.

Not strictly true - tailoring is made in Italy, leather goods and some luggage Italy, footwear USA and UK.

Most fabrics used by RRL are from Japan, USA (Laether deerskin), UK (knitwear and Oilcloth), Ireland (knitwear) but construction is done in Far East.

Hey,

I just purchased a leather jacket from RRL, at Mr.Porter.

Can anyone tell me were it's made? The url is gone, i ordered the last one.

Probably China- not that I'm knocking the product always impressed with RRL despite them being made there

Thanx irbe! And that's what I found out pretty quick - along with the fact the the quality is really good & that a USA label probably woudln't do any difference.

It was a re-stock at Mr.Porter with 60% discount. I have looked at it so many times before & even saved up some pictures. The discrete pockets, collar & the brown colour. It's so nice! The Real McCoys have a similar model, thats been my reference. It's close, but no cigar in my eyes & the pricing is WAY to HIGH.

Well, well. I will post an update when it arrives.

Have a nice weekend. :)

Yeah, that's right! Morrow it is. Just hope the sizing is OK - looking for a snug fit, planning to wear just one layer underneath.

I'm 5.9, around 185 pounds. I ordered Medium.

"Vintage inspired fit" in a tee means to me that it has shorter than normal sleeves, pencil thin collar, and overall slimmer fit ..... in other words, quite different/opposite than your regular, modern Hanes Beefy Tee

if you just take a vintage pattern and repro it needs to have the length made longer. Also on a long sleeve the sleeves made longer..

I Bought this a while ago but had to sell it since it was coming up short in the back for me. For reference I am 5' 11 and wear a medium and the back was hitting a little too high above my belt line. great jacket though, really love the use of calfskin on most of their new leathers
