1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

looking for raws and not a fan that she doesnt accept questions. just want to know definitively on the measurements she took, selvedge or not, and raw or not lol

Also hate it when they refuse to provide measurements or have completely wrong measurements listed for the item. If sellers decided to get off their lazy asses and list proper BiG/shirt measurements for each of their items I'd buy a lot more. Instead we get some goatee'd asshole wearing all the items and charging a premium [IMG].

gotta take a risk to spend a grip. but you're right a better opportunity will come eventually.

let me spoil the surprise: double-r-"ell" ove-r-ells carpenter jeans. sanfo. triple stitched. bizarre half/full selvedge that i can't even explain. i think it might be that salvage where they add it back after weaving, but it says "shuttle loomed" right on the joint. buckle back. back pocket flyer claims it's 8 oz but it seems a lot heavier.

Dude that sounds interesting, got pics??

are these single rinse/washed or raw? selvedge? unfortunately the seller doesnt accept questions... but great price if they are raw selvage!

I have what I believe to be the same pair. They're not selvedge and they're one wash. They stretch a ton too - if you think they might be too small for you then they might actually be just right. [IMG]

forgot to add that the denim has a great nubby quality to it. random white nips abound.

I would guess these are women's. Look how low the rise is (compared to the Context pic); I doubt there is any room for any baggage at the front there.

I know the sizes are legendarily inconsistent, but I can go with my sense of what seems right based on the RRL I own and average measurements of similar stuff. It's worked out so far about right. I've asked the eBay seller hananasi a couple of quick questions unrelated to size, though, and nothing.

I really like the wool trousers being sold here (not my size):

They're incredible. Wish they were my sort of fit too.

This works as long as you aren't crossing too many years, as the vanity sizing went from really crazy to just kind of normal for denim. But lately it seems like the sizing has been more consistent.

    Someone grabbed them already!

Have you tried just using the "contact member" function? I've done that several times with good success. If you click on their user id, it takes you to this screen. http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...d=200513411753
Then just click "Other" and then "Continue", and it will let you type an email to them.

Maybe you already tried that, but just in case...

lol yeah thanks man already tried that haha

    appreciate it

Cool. Was a little worried about sounding pedantic, but thought I'd mention it just in case you didn't realize. I rarely see official question/answer sections on listings these days; I just do this all the time.

Having said that, after emailing, did the seller tell you they refuse to answer questions or did they just not respond?

oh if you hit the ask seller question and it brings you to that screen with the preanswered questions and then you hit the click continue at the bottom to ask the seller a different/unanswered question, it states, "We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing."

so i guesst eh seller is blocking all incoming questions/messages but i dont know how you do that since ive sold on ebay before. kind of weird

Hrm, mine is relatively form fitting, at least compared to my other shirts. I mean it's not tight, there's room for movement in the torso and sleeves and from the side view the bottom flares out a bit. At 31" it covers the top 2/3 of my back pockets and about 4/5 of the fly. How does yours fit?

A little different: front covers 2/3 of the fly and 1/2 of the back pockets. Maybe we just have different ideas on what is too long. I could stand it being shorter, like it the way it is, but definitely wouldn't want it any longer.

But I've never seen any pics of RRL pairs that really aged well. Am I just looking in the wrong place?

Did you catch the pic of member soonami's straight legs? I keep repeating them for two reasons: first, they look amazing, and, second, I have a pair of straights myself and they will never fade (so I'm amazed he got them that way) - I've never had a jean this stubborn. Granted they are relaxed, but all my raw jeans are relaxed and they fade. So my RRL sraights are my perma-deep blue jeans (which is nice in its own right).

let me spoil the surprise: double-r-"ell" ove-r-ells carpenter jeans.

At first I thought you were talking about these:

Which I've seen listed as carpenter pants, although they aren't but they are not 8oz and have the suspender buttons.

I love these jeans - the measurements, the exposed rivets, and the look and weight of the denim (15.5oz), but I can't get used to suspender buttons and bucklebacks.

For those of you who have done phone orders from RRL stores in the same state as the store, how much is shipping or do they offer free shipping in the US?

It's flat $15 regardless if you are in same state, unless you can convince the SA to waive the shipping fee for you.

What about the sleeves, do they fit slim or are they sort of relaxed? I roll mine up because they're a little big.

Shopping for RRL on ebay is really great. I find the most rewarding aspect of RRL on ebay to be that lone seller listing many, many shirts at exorbitant, near original retail prices. It's great because you can see his shop-tanned torso (top three buttons undone obvs) and goateed chin in EVERY SINGLE AUCTION in the exact same pose.

That guy rules. I wanna do shots with him and Dave Navarro at Planet Hollywood over a ripping guitar solo. Shit, Ralph Lauren should hire him as "the face" of RRL.

That dude's Italian cousin must work for threedifferent.com. I was wondering what that ebay guy reminded me of.

Tried searching through this thread, and the one answer I found was "not much" to a related question. But I think the poster was talking about waist shrink.

Will the RRL's in lightly distressed low straight shrink at all in the inseam?

^^ Lame! They're just an inch too long and I want to move the knee fades up.

    Thanks for the responses guys.

@ RKD, I'm fairly certain those are female jeans. I was looking at them for a long time before I bought another pair on SW&D. The rise and opening were different from the similarly listed men's jeans in that cut. So I passed. But, if you've got skinny legs, they might work.

I think I tried emailing her and she just ignored it.
