Been initiated into the many pleasurable nuances of RYO tobacco a few years ago and loved them. Combined with my favourite Club non-adhesive papers from SD Modiano, I get a smoke that is way superior to anything that most pre-packaged cigarettes.
I have a thing for Peter Stokkebye rolling tobacco and have tried all their excellent blends: Amsterdam, London, Stockholm, Turkish, Norwegian and Danish export.
Finally settled on Norwegian and Danish since they are mild, moist and cut in a fine shag for effortless rolling.
For someone who resides outside the US like myself it's become a real pain to source these fine tobaccos thanks to the draconian taxation and some law called PACT.
But at least they don't tax us for talking about it.
Please share your experiences here (non-smoking evangelists, please refrain from lectures).
I would love to get a conversation going on who the best suppliers and smoke shops are....and also some taste reviews if possible.
