Crossposting from the Random Fashion Thoughts thread because I interrupted the gothninja/ Will Smith discourse over there...

The only RO pants I have ever owned are used ones I bought off grilled. I recently bought a new pair (same style, same size) and the elastic is uncomfortably tighter in the waist when compared. If I stretch both out to their max, the measurements are the same. It's just tighter when compressed, as if the elastic material used in the waist is stronger. Will it become more relaxed with use over time? Is that your experience with RO? Do sizes shift among seasons? Should I size up?

Just got a pair of the black duke cut jeans. Went with my true size and they fit great, exactly how I want them to, albeit slightly uncomfortable because they're a brand new pair of 13.75oz 100% denim of course.

Style code is DL20F1399-BLKJP. It's a pair with the black leather patch like this:

Basically just want to know how they'll age. Will these fade? And I assume they'll be more comfortable but figured I'd double check with some Rick heads just to make sure. I'd hate to realize I made a mistake later on.

Question on geobaskets: is there any significance to whether the inner tongue tag is reverse or not? I figure it's a seasonal thing... I see the current geo's on his website have the reverse tag.

Also, any sure way to identify which season a pair a geo's are from? Maybe the numbers on the zipper protector?

First part of the code is the season. E means Estate which is summer, W means winter. This means a pair with W18 would be from FW18 for example.

Ah that's weird, I've never seen a code like that before. Are those bought from a retailer or second hand? Hope someone more knowledgeable than me can help you out.

Any thoughts on how I should size a Jason hoodie from the current seaso? I swing between an M and a L depending on the brand and how i want something to fit. Best metric is i'm a solid size 3 in Vis. Thank you.

Shameless name-dropping here but I do think this may be of interest to some; my friend - Saul Adamczewski - did a shoot a little while back for Rick Owens.

Apparently RO had the idea of bringing back heroin chic and got these two rock n rollers together for some pics (bonus point for anyone who can name the other boy on the same planet here)

I've only seen these two pics, it seems strange to bother going to the trouble of getting them together and setting up the shoot etc for so few - but it was a fair while back now and it's all I've seen so maybe that's how it was.

Anyway Owens clearly enjoyed shooting these rockers cos (and this is where I get totally shameless I'm afraid), via Saul his team contacted my DJ partner Liza and requested her to ask Peter Kember (ie Sonic Boom from Spacemen Three) if he would be up for doing a shoot - and as a result he went over to Paris this weekend to do just that.

So look out for Sonic Boom photographed by Rick Owens fairly soon I guess...
