1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

With all this talk about Ervell and bodytypes I was surprised that the knit baseball jacket in M I received today was actually...probably an inch too long at 5'9". For its body length, its surprisingly short in the arms too...I might not be cut out for Ervell haha similar fit on the Pocket Sweater I got a while back too

Have never tried on any of the knits, but the boiled wool varsity looks terrible on my body type. I'm lanky and tapered, so the cropped + boxy looks quite unnatural on me. No side shot, but the flaring at the back + my large behind looks funny too.

^Should of listened, but I had this romantic idea of a cool fit with grey trousers and a wool baseball cap

hmm waiting for my baseball knit to be delivered too but I got size small and im 5'10. Measurements that I got from a member seemed to be a bit long for ervell standards though, which was what I was hoping...

I think it'll probably be perfect for you length-wise. The sleeves might be short though because the medium sleeves are perfect for me @ 5'9". It also depends how wide your shoulders are though because that'll affect where the sleeve hits too...I sorta wish I got a small for a slightly more fitted + cropped look like on the gargyle site but I'll probably just roll with the oversized slouchy look. Just gotta put on some good weight which should be ez since I'm the lightest I've been in a long time. I already sorta look like a marshmellow when its buttoned up all the way though so I'm not sure how that's gonna work lol

    Gargyle fit:

i've said it before and i'll say it again, ervell (of late - his older stuff wasn't nearly as cropped) looks nigh on redic on anyone with a bit of height. unless of course your wardrobe is stocked with high-waisted trousers.. but we're in 2013, right?

I've come to the conclusion that I can't wear any of his outerwear because it just looks terrible on me, sometimes doesn't even hit the belt. His shirts on the other hand fits perfectly. Need to grab some more.

Normal legs, normal torso, slightly longer arms (monkey man!) fits me great. Honestly, the body length is a tad short on me, but I prefer my outerwear undersized. It doesn't look weird, just cropped. I thank god somebody makes a cut like this.

PS - If you don't like the fit, you can buy on of the many AA knock-offs done of Ervell's shit. [IMG]

Just received my purple pocket sweater from Gargyle in XL. The recent discussion regarding Ervell being for short people scared me even though the measurements on the Ervell site seemed ok for someone 6'4. But didn't expect it too be almost too long. Wondering if it has been stored on a hanger because measurements were bigger then on the website. The Ervell site said arms were 26,5, shoulder 19 and length 27 but on the one I got arms were 28, shoulders 22 and length 28. So got a bit of dropped shoulders and slighly long arms but fits ok.

I ordered a pair of navy jeans from '09. Wondering how they'll fit. I've always wanted a pair. Does anybody know how '09 fit?
