2 false starts missed, phantom roughing the passer penalty on Matthews and a missed pass interference call for Jones, so I wouldn't say we were the beneficiaries. Regardless, it's a shitty situation.

Well the team that played better won but don't kid yourself. The non block in the back call just made up for the slew of missed/botched calls from earlier in the game (staley holding all day, non-PI calls, false starts, etc.)

That said, between this game and the 5min conference about timeouts that the refs GOT WRONG at the end of the seahawks game, I think we can all say without a doubt that these replacement refs need to go. Maybe this will be enough to get Goodell & co to cave. Then again, it's not like most people will stop watching...

New England out of the gates looking good as always. What an incredible run it's been for Pats fans. Defense actually played good against the run not so stellar against the pass though. Plenty of targets for Brady to throw to and finally what looks to be a running game to go along with the passing game. May be the deepest team in the last 4-5 years. Time will tell.

Mike Shanahan has to have the biggest shit-eating grin on his face right now. Sweet vindication for him today. RG3 played great, but a big part of the reason why he didn't throw any interceptions is that his receivers were open. The system works with the right quarterback.

I know it's not new this year, but man the Redskins look great in burgundy over gold.

I'd love to see the Rams go back to royal blue or white over gold. (As in yellow, I mean. I don't know why they call that gold in the context of sports uniforms.)

That's strange because when I saw the highlights I was feeling sorry for the players for having to wear those uniforms. I thought they were really bad. Too each his own though. I think the Jets are horrible as well. Love the Rams (latest ones vs the old ones)..

Which of these seems wrong to you, the Redskins or the Rams?

EDIT: @soxpats--I do like the 2012 Rams uniforms a little better than last year's. (No gold pants this year.) But I much prefer to the old royal blue and yellow ones. (Probably because that's what I grew up with.)

That last drive from Manning was sublime. I have to wonder how much input the offensive coordinator gets when he marches down the field with nary a huddle.
