Dammit, does that make this image in bad taste?

Downs jokes become completely not funny ever again, and something you feel deep shame about, the minute you get some wonky blood test numbers and have to go to genetic counseling where they start essentially telling you about this game of Russian Roulette your pregnancy is playing with you.

I'm still not going back to the NFL. The explanation of the Packers call was offensive to anyone with a brain.

So the general consensus around the league after three games is that Peyton's arm is bad with a good chance of not getting better. Did anyone do any due diligence when he became a free agent?

It's the Broncos. they only make one kind of player decision: shitty ones. This is the same team that used a first round pick on Tebow, after all.

Most likely they knew that Peyton couldn't throw, but they knew he would drum up fan enthusiasm and sell a bunch of tickets. Like when the Cardinals spent a bunch of money on a washed up Emmitt Smith so they could sell a few tickets to all the Cowboys fans in Pheonix.

So I heard on talk radio on the way home that the ref who called the last play in the GB/Seattle game was a D-III ref who failed the test to get into D-I refereeing.

It was also to to help them get rid of Tebow. Elway never liked Tebow and he knew he couldn't get rid of him without pissing off the fans unless he got someone with a bigger name lined up ready to go.

I hadn't considered that, but that is very believable.

    Which one?

There were a total of 4 refs who had input on the call. The linesman (touchdown signal) and back judge (touchback), the referee (white hat) and the replay booth official, howard slavin. Slavin is an actual nfl employee, not a replacement. He's the one who completely blew the call and advice to the referee about how to adjudicate it. Slavin and goodell both need to be relieved of their NFL employment.

The one that held his arms up as a touchdown.

    Poor guy.

To be fair, though, I know he has been criticized in the past for having a wobbly throw. Eli, Rodgers, and Brady have always been better tight spiral throwers
