A Good Thread.
One hell of a edit. Can you do my family three next?
just wait for yoox
yep, they actually have a pretty good selection.
Aaand we're back...
a quick selection (high-res), link to the full collection above
delicious. thanks homeslice.
These two, along with every fall 10 look, are so good.
Fall 10. yes. wow. would love to see the entire collection so that I can find at least one piece to dislike
omg i wish i could live somewhere where missoni was acceptable!
Here's a link for Fall 10
Fall 2009 had the craziest patchwork stuff, some of the knits occasionally show up on ebay and yoox.
Fall 2011 remains my favorite styling-wise and wearability-wise though. I wish Missoni online presence didn't suck so much, wouldn't have minded a couple of items from that collection.
Some Fall 2012 backstage pics via WWD , look who's there
dem cheek bones
TBS will be carrying Fall 2012 !
Nobody cares, whatever
shit is nice
Beautiful stuff. I'd like to have everything in this shot:
Great pics everywhere. For anyone who cares, you can actually buy Missoni fabrics. They're not cheap, of course. For instance: http://www.britexfabrics.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=missoni
Ottavio Missoni also has an interesting biography. He was an Olympic athlete, a runner specializing in the 400 meter, and he fought in World War II, during which he was captured and held in a POW camp in Egypt. When he returned to Italy, he resumed running, and at the 1948 Olympic games in London, for which he designed the Italian team's uniforms, he met his wife, Rosita, who was there studying English. They married in 1953 and opened a small knitwear workshop in Italy. People started to take notice of their knits, and then their fame took off in 1967, when as NYMag puts it, "Rosita instructed models to remove their bras under sheer blouses at a fashion show in Florence and walk nearly nude (they weren't invited back)."
The Missoni Home line is pretty damn cool too.
