What is Newport Beach like? Have to go there for work, short visit. Interested in restaurants w/ good food, no scene required.
lots of white blondes and douchebags with money.
if you wanna shop. Just go to southcoast plaza.
Mozza opened in Newport recently. The food scene there is getting a lot better.
Anyone been to Eveleigh?
Thinking of making a reservation, haven't heard too much on it.
What'd you think of Ramen Jinya? Did you go to the Mid Wilshire location?
Have you tried Yamadaya in culver city?
it was really good. this was my second time visiting.
the first time it was packed and they ran out of special hot/chili sauce, so it wasnt as spicy as it should have been. but the gf had the black version with garlic sauce.
this second time the pork buns and ramen all came out quickly and perfect. it helped that the owners were there
we like Ramen Jinya better than Orochon in lil tokyo.
i'll try yamadaya next time.
if you think jinya is good take a drive down the 405 and exit redondo beach blvd., mottainai is the truth.
Santouka inside Mitsuwa for ramen.
oh yeah we went to santouka a few months ago. thats good too but she like jinya better plus we live on miracle mile so its so convenient
jinya is def more expensive though
never been that far to redondo lol
i didn't think jinya was that good, really need to try yamanda. chicken said it's really good. santouka in oc is much better than the one in west la. orochon is a joke.
tsujita's tonkotsu and tsukemen are my new #1. the tonkotsu is like the love child of ippudo and jinya.
jinya's tonkotsu is next, then miso at mottainai, then shio at santouka, then tonkotsu at yamadaya.
I prefer daikokuya ramen (+ fried rice) over santouka
