Gorgeous!!! Tuxes look great... almost like a suit! For some reason I was picturing old fashion tux with huge lapels, etc... i def see myself in one of those.

Speaking of SM: https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/vbc---black-tuxedo-8666211730-tuxnt-02-ss22

Looks like Smitty's Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo... maybe I can lurk on the ebay to see if I will have any luck there lol

thank you for the suggestions on where to get shirt and accessories!
The RLBL has narrow-ish lapels. You can easily go very wide or even double-breasted. Just, as mentioned above, stick with peak lapels or shawl collar. eBay has lots of vintage tuxes go by.

The S&M tux you linked to looks nice! Slightly wider lapels.

Def dont like double breasted look... Def love yours or SM tux.

and yeah, ebay might be a good place for me as I am sure people sell of their tuxes when they dont use them.
Since you shopped off ebay before how is your experience with it? For instance, let's say i do find a tux there, but it was altered for another person.. sleeves, pants, suit itself might be altered too much. Any tips to avoid it? Or should I just go to a tailor and they will be able to fix it? (Unless sleeves are too short :) )

Always go with a vendor that rates high and posts the exact garment measurements. Measure your favorite suit and compare, Get a tux from a decent maker that you can be reasonably sure will have enough material inside for alterations. I've bought plenty from eBay, just do a little research before committing and you'll likely do fine.

What's centrally located for most folks? U Street? Downtown?
I'm down for anywhere except Northern Virginia. No seriously, I'm likely as a Fed to get an early dismissal, so I would be okay with Clarendon, but prefer Metrorail-accessible DC.

I took the day off to make a four day weekend so can met anywhere. DC probably better for most. It will be hot but no worries. Beer is the ultimate cooler.

or Suit Supply... Even better located in Tyson and I can just get everything in one stop. Gas is expensive :)

That suit supply jacket looks like a grosgrain lapel not satin, so your tie and cummerbund should also be grosgrain.

I have the day off as well.

I'd prefer DC to NoVA however I'll go anywhere I can access reasonably using the Metro.

The first rooftop bar that came to mind was The Brixton (U Street), site of a SF meetup many years ago:

Feel free to propose other locations.

That's fine by me!
